Part of our focus at Ground Zero Masters Commission is serving people around the world through world missions. We travel overseas ever year to help support the work of pastors and churches in countries like Mexico, Guatemala, Dominican Republic and Peru. We also provide the opportunity for students called to missions to obtain the resources and develop the skills necessary for world missions. One of the ways we do this is by providing the opportunity for Third Year Students in the Missions Institute to serve with a pastor or ministry overseas for an extended period of time. Our newest involvement comes from a partnership between the Masters Commission International Network and Food for the Hungry. Through this partnership we are able to offer individuals and churches an easy way to get involved with world missions.   

Founded in 1971, Food for the Hungry goes into the hard places --places darkened by poverty, war, and injustice-- to bring hope and help to children, families and communities. They work in over 26 countries including Haiti, Peru, India, Sweden, Sudan, Ethiopia, Indonesia, Canada, and even here in the U.S. Their vision is to end physical and spiritual hunger around the world.   

By sponsoring a child you are helping to provide them with much needed clothing, shelter, food, clean water, proper immunization and discipleship. Sponsorship gives you the opportunity to bring hope into the life of a child, a family and a community. By sponsoring a child you are showing them someone cares and offering them hope for a much brighter future for their lives.   

The "Food for the Hungry" sponsorship strategy is geared toward empowering and equipping families, the local church and the leadership of the community to meet the needs of their children. Your monthly pledge will help meet the critical needs of the child you sponsor as well as build hope, benefiting the entire community. By sponsoring a child your committing to a monthly gift is of just $32. Out of that gift, 93% goes directly to the child that you are sponsoring. The other 7% of your donation is used in offsetting the costs of getting the money to the child, including staffing, equipment, and raising awareness to bring in more sponsorships.
