As I was reading 1 Thessalonians 4, the things that Paul said in verses 9-12 really stood out to me. We are to love on another, but that is something that God will teach us and it will come from our relationship with Jesus Christ. God has a love that is completely unfathomable, that we can never understand. But one thing is true, we are to love more and more with our actions and ask God to help us have a heart that loves like His. We all have love in us. God created love, and He created humans to have love to give and to receive from other humans. Therefore somewhere in us we have love to share, we just have to find it, or allow God to help us find it. Before Master’s last year, I can tell you that I did not really know how to show the love I had for other people or how to accept love from other people. That is not something that was shown much in my household, therefore I built a wall around those type of feelings. But over the year, God changed that in my heart, He began to break down those walls of hurt, bitterness, and negativity that held my love captive, and He showed me how to have compassion for other people. Also He showed me that it is the most amazing thing when we show love for other people. Revealing our love for our brothers and sisters in Christ has a tremendous ability to strengthen them. As I continued to gain “heart knowledge” of God over the year, He allowed me to show more love to the other girls on the team and the people that we would come in contact with over the year at rallies and such. It has been such a blessing to come to know more about God and His never ending love that we should show as well. God revealed His love to me throughout this year from our classes and the things that we did all year. God is so amazing and I am in awe of Him and the love He truly has for us that we cannot even begin to understand.

In the beginning of 1 Thessalonians 4, specifically verse 1, Paul tells the Thessalonians that they are being challenged to “excel still more.” The Thessalonians had previously received instruction and exhortation on how to walk and live their lives in a way that was pleasing to the Lord, and they were doing that faithfully. Paul was ecstatic to hear such great news, but he also knew that they could quickly regress if there was no growth. Therefore, he challenged them to dive deeper and “step it up”. Yes, they were doing well, which was great, but this journey as a disciple of Christ had only just begun. There was new ground to be gained and new glory to move on to. This is so applicable in my life. I feel as if Masters Commission has given me an opportunity to have just a taste what it is like to run this race and hear the Lord say, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” I say taste because I am still here on this planet running the race. The conclusion of last year was so climactic, and I could hardly believe my eyes as I looked back and tried to recollect and reminisce about all that God has done in me and the ground that had been gained. I am still putting pieces together. As awesome as this point in time may be, the race isn't over. There is more stretching that needs to happen, more chasing, more breaking, and more restoration. God is not finished, so I must “excel still more”.

We are currently in Ocean City, MD on our second and third year retreat. This has been an amazing time of fellowship and refreshment, both physically and spiritually. We began the retreat with an amazing time
of worship together, and since then have spent a couple hours at the beach swimming and playing ultimate Frisbee, the students have begun their leadership class, and we've had some time to just hang out, talk, and have fun.
Our first year students arrive on Saturday, September 12th. We are so excited for all that God wants to do with this family over the next 9 months. One of the most amazing opportunities that we have here at Masters Commission is our overseas mission trip. In the past few years we have ministered to people in Mexico, Guatemala, and the Dominican Republic. We have seen God do amazing things while on these trips, everything from miraculous healings to salvations. On October 3rd, we will be hosting “The Marketplace”, a fundraiser to help offset the cost of our overseas mission trip. Come join us and see all of the amazing vendors wares and crafters creations. There will also be food and beverage as well as a children’s area. We are currently looking for crafters and vendors who would be interested in purchasing a booth at “The Marketplace”. “The Marketplace” will be open from 9am-1pm (set up time 7am) at the Christian Life Center in New London, PA. For as long as I could remember, I had plans on going to culinary school after I graduated high school. However, at the beginning of my senior year I felt that I wasn't ready to step out into the real world and I felt God calling me to Ground Zero Master's Commission. Most of my family and my friends didn't understand why I did Master's, but now I can see how God was preparing me for the call that He has placed on my life. I did Master's because I wanted to build a firm foundation on Him so that I would not be swayed by the world and what it has to offer me. I could have gone to college after high school and get lost in the typical college life of drinking, parties, and sex. However I didn't want that but I wanted everything that God had to offer me.
I loved Master's! I loved the traveling, the worship, my home-openers, and of course the awesome girls that I had beside me. I learned so much about myself and who God is in my life. I also realized that God did give me a passion for the kitchen, cooking, and food. I feel so much joy whenever I cook or even think about it, so I knew that it had to be from God and not myself. As Master's started to come to a close I decided not to come back for a second year but go to culinary school. I know that God wanted me to do something in the culinary world but I just don't know what it is yet. It might be working at a Christian retreat center, feeding the homeless, or just ministering to the people I work with (since most kitchens need it). I just don't know what His plan is for me just yet, I just know that I have to go to culinary school.
When I look back on all that God has done this past year, I am just in awe of God's love and that He will provide for your every need. God has moved so much and I can't wait to see what's next. It just again proves to me that "Nothing is in possible" with Him and that "My God is an Awesome God!"

In Master’s Commission we are very intentional about the way we spend our days and what we spend our time doing. It is our hope that everything we do has value in maturing us spiritually and teaching us to be-come more effective in ministry, more productive in a future career, or teaching us an important lesson spiritually.
One of the ways we do that is in our academics—in addition to all the ministry that we do, we also take college classes in Bible from Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary. This allows us to learn the Word of God in addition to learning the practical knowledge we gain by hands–on ministry experience.
I have found, however, that oftentimes I need to be reminded of why I do all the things I do. When I’m staying up late or get-ting up early to finish homework or write a paper, I sometimes need to stop to reset my focus and ensure that my mind is where it ought to be.
It is so easy to take homework and view it as work that needs to be done instead of viewing it as actually studying the infallible Word of God, as it actually is. Recently we have been studying the book of Acts. Put in nice terms, this class has been rigorous. Put in more honest terms, I have lost a great deal of sleep trying to finish homework, assigned Bible-reading, scripture memory, and several ministry responsibilities.
It is so easy in times like this to lose focus on why I do what I do. This came up when a friend of mine noted how much he had learned while writing an essay on Acts 17 and how it relates to modern preaching. My focus for that paper was getting it done so I could go to sleep. It’s not at all a stretch to say that my focus was way off on that paper.
Realizing this, whenever I sit down to write a paper or to do homework, I have to take a minute to make sure my focus is on learning the Word of God. That almost always involves a short chat with God about wanting to learn something out of this assignment, not merely getting it done.
In as much as this is true in academic studies, it is also true of ministry applications. When I find myself making a Powerpoint for someone else’s presentation or editing photos for our website for hours, it is very easy to get caught up in finishing the job as quickly as possible so I can move on to something else, and in doing so the aspect of really learning from it fades quickly from view. It’s not that these aren’t service to the Kingdom or aren’t important—it’s a mindset issue and a focus issue. Again, learning to reset my focus has been tremendously important.
This idea has been very significant to me personally—it challenges me to consider what the purpose is behind what I am doing, and to consider whether or not my actions, my thoughts, and my attitudes line up with that purpose. And through this process, it is incredible to see how much God actually does teach me when my focus is where it needs to be, and when I actually do live my life for Him as I so desire to do.

I would say that in the last couple days God has really been working in me and tweaking my perspective on how I view my spiritual discipline. He showed me that He needs to be my sole focus and purpose for doing anything. I definitely learned the hard way. This process started on Monday when I failed my scripture memory test and I sure did feel bad. I was really beating myself up because this is God's word and I need to be in it constantly; I need it to be my life, my foundation. This was God showing me that I was not growing, this is how I was before I came to Master's. I would get to a certain place in my life where I think I am doing really good and I get comfortable and I stop growing in what God has for me. So starting there a little fire began to ignite in me to get past my own laziness and get into God's word. The next day in worship, God was just breaking me down and showing me that he needs to be the reason I live for, He needs to be the one I give glory to in anything I do, and He needs to be the first thing I think about when I get up in the morning. I remember praying for kids all year at rallies and youth retreats that God would be their sole purpose for living and breathing, but it wasn't what was in my life. I would say God had added to the fire he put in me the day before. I want God to be my everything and I want His word to be the foundation that I stand on. This is really the reason why I came to Master's, and then God showed me how messed up my life is and He wanted to work on that too. The one thing I would say to sum up this thought is God has lighted a new fire in me to go after Him when I want to and even when I don't want to.

At Ground Zero Masters Commission, we are always striving to be as effective as we can be. Our goal is equip you to walk in your calling. In order to do that most effectively, we are now offering specific ministry institutes. Students returning for a second or third year will be able to choose a specific institute that will help them grow in whatever area they have been called to. We are currently offering institutes for Youth Ministry, Children’s Ministry, and Missions. These institutes will allow you to receive specific training and hands on experience in the area that you feel God calling you to. You will be involved in actually planning youth events, running children’s ministry activities, and organizing overseas missions trips. You will be doing all of this while receiving personal and practical training from great Christian leaders who have gone before you. You will learn the “ins and outs” of ministry all while developing your own personal approach to your ministry. There will also be a general institute incorporating a broader and less detailed approach for those unsure of their calling, or for those who are not planning on being in the ministry. If you are looking for real life experience and practical hands on and academic training, Apply Now. For more information on our institutes contact us at info@gzmconline.com, or 610.869.7332

Graduates of Ground Zero Masters Commission have unlimited options before them, and our alumni have taken many of them. Some of them are now a part of the work force, others have gone on for more schooling, some are on the mission field, a few are youth pastors, and the list goes on. Breanna McCormick, a third year graduate, is back at home on Martha’s Vineyard and is heavily involved in her church and community. She has a heart for the people of Martha’s vineyard and is influential in planning and overseeing many outreach events at her church. She is also very involved in her community and was recently involved in the making of a tragedy preparedness film. This film helped train local emergency response personnel in its making, and will be used in training other emergency response teams across the country. Students at Ground Zero Masters Commission gain skills that can be used in every area of life, from ministry experience, to leadership skills, and yes, even tragedy preparedness films. In my life I’ve had to make some adjustments in my life to follow God and join Him in what He was doing. For example, in order to come to Masters, I had to put some of my friendships on hold so that I could focus all of my attention on God for nine months. It was hard to make that decision at first and as the date to leave for Masters came closer and closer, and the realization that I couldn’t talk to them and confide in them hit me, it was painful to imagine. However, it was easier than I thought and the transition was smooth. The adjustment has been rewarding and I have learned so much about myself. I’ve learned that I trusted guys and focused more on them than on God who should be my complete focus in life. I relied on them and found my “worth” in what they thought of me. I have learned that it should be God who I find my “worth” in and focus on what He thinks of me. I am a daughter of God and He knows my every thought and the desires of my heart. He is the only one that can fill me and make me whole. He finds me to be worthy of His life even though I am a sinner. I know that if I didn’t come to Masters, I would not have been as focused on God as I could be and God would not be number one in my life. It has also been rewarding, because now I have all of these girls that I can confide in and be friends with when before it was only guys. Now I have an awesome group of girls to replace that. Another adjustment that I’ve had to make was that I had to give up some of my music that I liked to listen to. Some of the music I used to listen to had swear words and it didn’t honor God. I realized that after I stopped listening to it, my thoughts and my focus was more on God than on the stuff that I was listening to. I also noticed that when I tried to listen to it, or anything else that I used to listen to, I wouldn’t be interested and I wouldn’t enjoy listening to it like I used to.

Two specific ways that God has been molding my life for His service are by bringing me to Masters, and by turning my heart to the ways of His heart. Coming to Masters has taught me the discipline and has given me a more intimate relationship with God, both of which are crucial for a life in service to God. By being here, God has also begun to show me who He truly is, and out of that I have more of a desire to live for Him and do His will.
Every morning in worship and devotion we are given the opportunity to really seek after God. This has been such a great opportunity for me because prior to coming to masters I rarely took that time. Now I have become even more hungry for God’s word and I have a new appreciation for the things that God has been doing in my life. I have become more sensitive to His spirit and I am more willing to trust Him. Academics and scripture memory have molded my mind for God’s service. Everywhere I turn I find myself using the knowledge that I’ve gained. I feel so much more prepared to do the will of God. Being in our nightly ministries is another part of Masters that God has used to mold me. It’s really difficult for me to be relational and invest in my relationships with other people. By having the opportunity to go to the same ministries over and over, and spend more time seeing the things that God is doing in these different situations it has been turning my heart to these things and I feel like it’s becoming a little easier for me to show others the love of God.
Through all of the things in masters I feel like God has really been showing me His heart, really showing me what it means to be His disciple. Through this I feel like I am much more prepared to do His work for my life. I have begun to view different situations and opportunities in my life through the filter of God’s will and I have begun to react to these things in ways that would be more pleasing to God than before I came to masters. I definitely feel that by being in masters and by learning what the heart of God is, that I am being molded for His service.

In March we took a mission trip to the Dominican Republic and on the second to last day we where there we had a great experience ministering to a local village. The team was going out into the local villages to go door to door witnessing, but before we left Tom Sleigh had brought out a balloon animal set. We had about ten minutes of down time before heading out, so Tom tried making a balloon dog and he was the first to figure out how to make a balloon into the shape of a dog, a sad looking dog, but still a dog. So I grabbed several bags of balloons and an air pump thinking that they might be useful somehow in our mission for Christ.
At the second house we stopped at, I saw some children on the front porch and had the idea to make them a balloon dog. Part of our group went into the house to talk with the people inside and I stayed outside making these balloon dogs and in less than 30 seconds I had about fifteen kids surround me asking for more balloon dogs. Then another idea popped into my mind, instead of just giving these kids these balloons dogs let’s try giving them a lesson from the Bible about dogs. Well let’s just say that the verse in proverbs about a dog returning to its vomit was not a good idea for a Bible lesson, but where our mind falls short, God's succeeds and after the total flop of a lesson we decided to move on to the next house, but the children started to follow us. So again seeing the opportunity that God had placed before us, I asked our group what bible story can we tell these children, and somebody said, “let’s tell them about Zacchaeus.” So we had an on the spot, with fifteen kids and no preparation bible story and lesson. I was able to retell the story of Zacchaeus, wanting to see Jesus and having Jesus come into his house, and was able to relate it to how we can have Jesus come living inside our hearts. When I would get stuck in places and not know what to say next my group would fill in, and we were able to create a salvation message right there on the spot. In fact, Pastor Mike and his group were passing by us and he was even throwing in his advice on what we needed to tell these children about Jesus. From what I saw there were four children that prayed the sinners prayer and accept Jesus into their lives. Four children where saved, fifteen children were able to hear the gospel, all because we were willing to use what God gave us at that time to further His kingdom. And for the rest of the day we would find an empty lot or a place that was on the side of the road, fill up some balloon animals and tell a story from the bible about God and his love for us.

In May, all of our third year students graduated from Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary, and several of them spoke during the graduation service. Following are some excerpts from Peter’s speech.
“I joined Masters Commission because I felt like it was a good training ground for being a youth pastor. Little did I know that I would acquire all the skills and components that would help form me into the man of integrity that God wanted me to be. Over the past 3 years, I have been able to study the word of God in more in depth detail than I would have ever thought I would. I have learned more about the character of God through our courses, both from my own personal perspective and from the perspective of others as well. My beliefs have been challenged in ways that I did not expect and I have had to learn to defend my faith and what I believe in different situations. This is very important, because as Christians, sometimes we are a little too sheltered from the truth and because of this, our faith is not as strong or deeply rooted as it should be; and so when the storm comes, a lot of Christians find themselves uprooted and violently thrown into a place where they are lost and uncertain of where they are and what they believe in. I have learned how to communicate effectively with people of all backgrounds, faiths and upbringings without being offensive, and also without hiding who I am. Most importantly however, at least I think so, I have learned how to search and study the word of God on my own, and not have to rely on the intelligence and knowledge of someone else. It has been an extremely educational as well as spiritual experience.
I’d like to thank the entire GZMC family for helping me to realize that I am not alone in my pursuit of the King. Each and every one of you have had a contribution in my growth in Christ; thank you. To my brothers, my fellow warriors, with whom I have struggled through bogs of despondency and with whom I have rejoiced and worshipped in the high places, thank you. Without you, I would not know who I am, nor would I be who I am. Thank you all for who you are and for being willing servants to our King.”

Through Masters, there are two specific ways that God has been molding my life for His service. One specific way that God has been molding my life for His service is revealing who he made me. For so long I thought I had to be someone different just to be accepted and liked. I had put on different masks and built up many different walls trying to make myself better according to what my friends thought and other influences by the world through television and movie stars. I thought I had to work and change myself to be beautiful and accepted. My standards were following how the world thought and not how God saw it. God has been revealing who He is and also who He has made me. No longer do I feel a need to wear a mask or build up walls so people can’t get close, because as God tore those down, He filled me with Himself. He continues to reveal more of who He is to me. Another way that God has been molding my life for His service is teaching me, through all kinds of opportunities, to love like He loves. It’s easy to just serve but to serve from the heart is different and there must be the right motives. As God showed me who He had made me, He has been revealing areas of my heart that I want to be more like Him, such as the way I view and love people. Loving someone regardless of what they have done or still do. Seeing people through God’s eyes and having a heart like God towards someone.

In 1 Thessalonians chapter 1 verse 9, Paul reminds the Thessalonians of how they turned from their idols to serve the one true, living God. What a beautiful picture of repentance! When one lays down the life he/she was living to turn and walk in the opposite direction (toward Christ), they are able to live in the abundant life that Jesus came to give us. The Thessalonians have given a marvelous example of what we are to do as disciples of Jesus Christ. When we decide to give up the idol's in our lives, we are to turn from the things in which our lives were dedicated to and instead be devoted to the LORD. This was a big part of my first year in MC. I knew that there were all these little things that were taking the place in my heart which should only belong to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Simply put, they were idols. So, like the Thessalonians, I was in a position where I had to choose to surrender those things, walk away from them, and live with every aspect of my life in complete surrender to God.

One question that was posed to all of the first year students in March was, what are some specific ways that God has been molding your life for his service? Arielle talked about obedience and a heart for the world around her.
"God has been molding my life in two ways: teaching me to serve and obey Him and giving me a heart that is broken for this world. I don’t know what God is calling me to, but I know that it is much bigger than me. Over the past few months, I have begun to seek God’s will for my life and in response I feel that He has been teaching me how to serve Him, and more importantly how to obey Him and live my life in a way that better reflects Him. Once I began to focus on Him and ask that He would direct my life, I feel that He has begun to show me the importance of a servant’s heart and obedience. I pray that God would continue to speak to me and that I would learn to listen even more closely to His still, small voice. I know that these next few months in Masters are going to test me even more. I know that God still has plans that He wants me to fulfill here in the upcoming weeks before graduation. I want to remain focused and be obedient to do what He asks of me.
In the past, my focus was always on myself. In one way or another, everything was always about me: how something made me look, or what I wanted or needed. I never even considered the fact that this selfishness would prevent me from being used effectively in ministry. I have always known that I am called to be in ministry, but in high school I couldn’t see past myself. I got hung up on the insignificant stuff and couldn’t see the whole picture. However, since being in Masters, I have asked that God would give me a heart for other people. My desire is to embrace what God has for me, and I know that my heart has to be prepared for whatever is next. I pray that God would give me a heart that feels the weight of responsibility, and desires to carry out His will for my life regardless of how it makes me look, or my wants and needs. I know that God has begun to change my heart and the way that I act and react to situations."

It’s hard to believe that the year is over already. Graduation is always a bittersweet time, and this year especially. We are sad to see the end of an amazing year that feels like it should’ve continued. At the same time, we look back and are overjoyed by all that God has done in us and through us. And amidst all of this, there is an incredible underlying excitement for next year and all that God is going to do. We held our graduation service this past Sunday, and it was an amazing service. It is always awesome to see how God works in our lives even on the day of graduation. It was an incredible time of sharing all that God has done in our lives through the year and to celebrate that with our family and friends. It was incredible to see all of people that came out to the graduation, people that God has affected through us and people that God has used to affect us. All glory to God for an incredible year of Masters. A year of ministry, family, growth, and so much more.

Yesterday was our Academic Graduation from Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary. We went down to Ridgley Maryland where Chesapeake Bible college held a special graduation service for us. We are very thankful for Chesapeake and all that they do in providing us with a high quality education. It is amazing to see that in all of their academic work, the staff of Chesapeake Bible college keep God as their focus, and that truly sets them and their classes apart. We are blessed to be able to work with them. At the service, the following people received their Bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministry: Nicholas Cirino, Vanessa Crowder, Joshua Glock, Nicholas Knapp, SherryAnne Macpherson, Breanna McCormick, Peter Odulana, Belinda Renkens, Cassandra Strycharz, and Katy Swiger. The following people received their Diploma of Christian Ministry: Kristen Carlson, Donna Kroll, and Alexis Tebbs.

This Sunday we went to Hamburg, and it was an amazing time from start to finish. We helped out with their outreach during the afternoon, and we also had a lot of time to talk with students. They had a weightlifting competition, a water balloon launch, dart throwing competition, and you could also just hang out and play Wii. Then, at the end of the night, they gave away an iPod Touch. After the outreach, we did a rally, and God’s presence could be felt in that room. All of the dramas that we did, were really relating with the students and the stuff that they were dealing with. At the altar, God hit these students and, they were hungry to go after Him, and they all came up to the altar. We had the opportunity to pray with them and talk about what God wanted to do in their lives. It was just an amazing night for all of us.

This past Sunday we had the opportunity to serve at an amazing ministry in Philadelphia called Chosen 300. On Sunday mornings they bring people in for a worship service, and then feed them breakfast. These are people that may not have homes, and they may have no idea where their next meal is going to come from, but Chosen 300 ministries is committed to showing them the love of Christ by meeting their physical and spiritual needs. In addition to helping cook and serve the food, we had the opportunity to do a few dramas during the service and pray with those who came. It is always humbling to be able to serve those who are less privileged than yourself, and it makes you grateful for what God has given you. It was also incredibly uplifting to see their faith and their hunger for more of God. While Chosen 300 does meet the physical needs of the people it serves, it is a ministry that is focused on meeting their spiritual needs. It was truly a blessing to be a part of such an amazing ministry.

On Sunday we went to Cedarbrook Church in Maryland where we were able to spend time with both the Junior High and Senior High students. (the Wave and Oasis) We had time to spend with the student both before and after the rally and it was a great time of God starting something new in the students. We were so blessed to be able to be a part of what God was doing and blown away with how everyone responded to the altar call. Many made a commitment that they were starting over and making a decision in their lives that they wouldn’t be the same or live the same way they had been. They realized that God was calling them deeper and they answered the call. It was not only a time when we got to see God move in others, but God was moving in our hearts and lives as well. It was such a blessing to talk with the students after the altar call and see how they were planning on stepping forward in their relationship with Christ that it encouraged us as we make that same commitment daily.
Last Friday while one team was at Ground Zero, another team had the opportunity to go to Melrose UMC and do a rally. The church used the rally as an outreach event, so there were several churches involved as well as a lot of other people. We had lots of time before the service to get to know people, there was a gym, a Frisbee game outside, and lots of other stuff. There was a band that came in and opened the service with worship and then we moved into our rally. It was great to be a part of all that God was doing in people’s lives, and the relationships we built before the service opened doors for us to talk to people about what God was doing in their lives.

On Friday, we were able to do a rally at Ground Zero Varsity, our senior high youth ministry. It was an amazing night. God moved so powerfully in all of our lives. As is custom for Ground Zero, we started the night with some hang out time with video games, pool, air hockey, ping-pong, and all kinds of other fun stuff. As we opened the service, the worship team played a few songs. I love when we are able to start our services with worship, it just sets the focus of everything on God and what He wants to do. We then moved into our rally. Although our rally had the same elements that it always has, it was special and just a little different because we were with our home students. Students that we know and have shared experiences with, good and bad. The altar time was especially amazing because we were with students that we have been open with for nine months or more, and so we were challenged just as much as they were, and we were able to be an encouragement to each other. We are so thankful for the tremendous students that God has placed in our youth ministry, and it was a blessing to grow closer to God with them.

This morning we had the opportunity to go with Pastor Mike to Delaware County Christian School for a morning chapel on Media and it’s influences on us and our perceptions of everything around us. We had the opportunity to talk with some of the students and hang out a little bit before we started the chapel and then Pastor Mike spoke and we did the drama ‘Overloaded’ for the students. It was a really good time to be able to talk with kids and see how they were made more aware of what was happening in the world around them and how media is so prevalent in today’s society and the impact that it can have on our views of ourselves and our interactions with others. Many students made a commitment to be more guarded in their hearts and minds by what they watched and listened to and it was a blessing for us to see young people taking a stand against what our society considers ok. Also, please pray for our GZ rally tonight for our senior high students.

Last night we had the amazing opportunity to do a youth rally at Ground Zero, our home youth ministry. We have been building relationships with these students all year long, and we love them so much. It was awesome to be able to do a rally for them and challenge them to grow deeper in their walk with Christ. God has blessed us with tremendous students that are always hungry for more of Him, and this was clearly evident during the altar time. Also, like always, we had time before and after the service to just hang with the students and be a part of their lives. It is awesome to see all that God is doing in our students lives and it is a blessing to be a part of it.
Last week we left on Wednesday for Clarksburg, WV and did a rally at Family Christian Fellowship A/G, Christina’s home church. It was and amazing time, there was a great turnout and God moved in amazing ways. It was truly a blessing to be a part of all that God is doing through the youth of Family Christian Fellowship.
Then on Thursday we did two school assemblies with the Seven Project at South Harrison High School. One for the Junior High and one for the Senior High. It is always awesome to be able to work with the Seven Project and talk to students in public schools about making positive choices. Then on Friday we did two school assemblies at Bridgeport High and one at Liberty High. Then that night we did a night rally in which we presented the Gospel. There was a great turnout of students from all three schools, and there was a great altar response. It was so awesome to be a part of what God is doing in the next generation.

Tuesday of Last week we left for our Ohio and New York tour. That night we did a rally at Fuelhouse Youth Ministry. Pastor Mark, the youth Pastor there, was Nancy’s old youth pastor. It was a great group of students that were truly hungry for more of God. It was awesome to be a part of all that God is doing in and through Fuelhouse Youth Ministry. Then on Wednesday night we did a rally at The Race Youth Ministry. This was Nancy’s home church, so it felt very much like family. We had a lot of time to spend connecting with the students, and again they were a group that was hungry for all that God has for them. It’s always a blessing to be able to visit the home churches of our students.
Thursday we didn’t have any rallies, so we spent time with Nancy’s family at her house. It was awesome to be able to get to know her family and spend time with them. This was also a much needed time of refreshment for us. We then traveled to Buffalo, NY where we spent the night at Evangel Assembly of God church.
Friday night we did a rally at a church in Liverpool, NY. The church brought in several youth ministries in the area, and it was awesome to see the unity among the different churches. The students there were incredibly open and even though we didn’t know them at the beginning, it felt like we were at home and by the time we left we had built great relationship with everyone there. From there we traveled to Pleasant Valley, NY on Saturday and did a rally at my home church. It was great to be back with family, and to see all that God is doing in my church. Finally on Sunday morning we had the opportunity to do the message during the service.

This past weekend we traveled to Dundalk, Maryland, an urban community near Baltimore, to work with the Seven Project in the high school there. We helped load in and set up sound and video equipment before the assembly and did stomp and human videos during the assembly itself to help illustrate the speakers points about substance abuse, anti-violence, sexual purity, and several other topics. We spent lunch with students and even played stomp in the school cafeteria as students were eating. At the end of the assembly we invited them out to a rally that night at a local church. Over one hundred students showed up that night and enjoyed basketball and volleyball as well as X-Box and free food, and at the end of the night we shared the gospel with them. There were students who had heard about the rally at school that morning and came out just as a way to get away from home. We were able to personally pray with some of these students as they chose to accept Christ for the first time. I talked to one student who told me he had resisted believing that God existed until God changed his heart that night.
This past weekend we spent three days at World Outreach Church of God in Patchogue, NY. This is our third year going to World Outreach church and it was really great to be back again. The church was so welcoming and from the moment we arrived we could feel the family atmosphere. Several different churches that attended the Friday night youth rally, and it was awesome to see the unity among the different churches. God moved in amazing ways in the lives of everyone there, and there were many people that came forward to grow deeper in their walk with God.
On Saturday morning we did workshops on purity, dramas, sharing your faith, and identity. Students who attended were able to learn about their identity in Christ and how it affects their lives, talk about purity and ways that they can keep themselves pure, they learned a drama and how to use dramas in ministry, and they also learned how to use their testimony to share their faith with their friends. The students who came were truly interested in growing deeper in their relationship with Christ, and it was awesome to see all that God was doing in their hearts.
Saturday evening we did a service based on our surrender seminar. We talked about what surrender means, how it affects our lives, and some practical ways to surrender ourselves to God. It was a time of going deeper in our relationship with God. A time of getting past the surface and laying down the things that we want to hold on to, the things that God is asking us to let go of. We had a white flag at the front of the room and at the end of the service we opened up the altar to for anyone who wanted to come forward and write down on the flag the things that they needed to surrender to God.
We also had the opportunity to do a couple of skits during the Sunday morning service. This is an amazing church that welcomed us with open arms. It was such a blessing to be a part of all that God is doing through their ministry.
This past weekend we went to Woodbridge, VA to help with the Potomac district Youth Convention. We went down on Wednesday and helped with setup. We set up an amazing light system as well as sound and video. During the convention we helped with security, back stage stuff, helped the bands load in and out, worked video cameras, and also helped at the district’s product table. There was an amazing speaker who challenged the students to live their lives completely for God. On Saturday we had the opportunity to do stomp outside during the lunch break. It was great to be back in the Potomac district, we have spent a lot of time with the students and leaders in that district, and have great relationships with many of them. Overall, it was an amazing weekend, and we were blessed to be a part of all that God is doing in the Potomac district.

Wednesday we left for Appomattox VA, but about an hour before we got there we found out that the church we were scheduled to do the rally at had to cancel
due to circumstances out of their control. We were blessed by Buena Vista
Pentecostal Holiness church who provided a place for us to sleep and fed us an amazing breakfast the next morning. Then on Thursday we headed to Beckley WV and started setting up for the Appalachian district A/G Fine Arts Festival and Youth Convention. It was great to see Pastor Chet again, and for the last time as DYD of the Appalachian district. He is moving on to become the National Director of Speed The Light, and we are very excited to see all that God has for him in that role.
Friday morning we finished setting up for the convention, and that afternoon students started arriving. We started the night with a service. Pastor Chet led worship, and the guest speaker talked about putting your faith to action, challenging the students to get out and do something for Christ. We then moved into the first session of the Fine Arts presentations. Fine arts focuses of helping students discover, develop, and deploy their ministry gifts, and it was a blessing to be able to help this students grow in the gifts that God has given them.
On Saturday, we continued with the Fine Arts presentations and then moved into another service. After lunch we finished the Fine Arts Presentations and had the final service. Pastor Aaron was introduced along with his wife as the new DYD, and Pastor Chet and his wife shared some parting words with the students of their district. A lot of people got sick on Saturday, and it was a time of perseverance and relying on Christ as we ran the convention and then tore down afterward. But God is faithful and provided us with the strength we needed to make it through.

This past weekend, while part of the team was in Massachusetts, there was a team that went to Tri-County Worship Center, Arielle’s home church. On Saturday we went out into the community and did a kids outreach called Crazy Kids Day. We did face painting with the kids and also made balloon animals and gospel bracelets with them. Then we did a skit for the kids and taught a message about staying away from sin. Then in the afternoon, we spent a couple of hours doing yard work and other jobs for people in the community.
On Sunday, we did a portion of the Sunday morning service and even taught some of the congregation how to do stomp. Arielle also had the opportunity to talk about all that God has been doing in her life through masters. Then on Sunday evening we did a rally at a local youth center called On Fire Youth Ministries. We went in and were able to spend time with the students, playing basketball, volleyball, and lots of other stuff. Then the teen worship band from Tri-County Worship Center started the service with worship. After worship we did stomp and some skits and dramas. It was awesome to be a part of what God is doing in the lives of the students there.

On Saturday we had the opportunity to be at Winchendon United Parish. We were there last year during our Massachusetts tour, and the youth there were extremely excited to have us back. They were just finishing their 30 hour famine as we were arriving, and from the moment we walked in the door the presence of God was evident. Throughout the night God continued to reveal Himself in amazing ways. The service was anointed in so many ways, and it was incredible and humbling to see how God used us to minister to those who were there. God dealt with a lot of issues in people lives, and healed a lot of wounds. Sherry did the altar call again, and it was amazing to see how God worked through her, and how much she had grown from her first altar call (which was good) to her second one. In just a few short hours, because she was open and willing to learn, she had grown so much. That’s one of the great things about Masters Commission, as long as you are willing, there are always opportunities for you to grow in.

Last night we were blessed to be able to minister at Horizon Christian Fellowship in Fitchburg Massachusetts. PJ, who graduated with us last year, is the youth director at the church, and it was amazing to see all that God is doing through him. The rally was amazing. God moved in incredible ways in the lives of everyone there, including our lives. Sherry did her first altar call, and it was absolutely amazing. God moved in powerful ways through the words she spoke. It was such a blessing to be a part of all that God is doing in Massachusetts and to be able to support PJ and his ministry. There was even a girl there who gave her life to Christ for the first time! Praise God!
This morning we did purity seminars at PJ’s church, one for guys and one for girls. We just spent some time talking to the students about relationships, dating and purity. The groups were fairly small, but the students that were there were serious about pursuing God and honoring Him in their relationships. It was awesome to see students who were serious about God, and who were willing to sacrifice temporary satisfaction and what their friends might think in order to pursue Him.
Yesterday we had the opportunity to lead the midweek service at Bethel Christian Church in Bristol, CT. The church was extremely welcoming, and they provided us with amazing food. We opened the service with worship, and it was immediately evident that everyone in the building wanted more of God. The presence of God was so real in that place, and we were all moved by Him. At the end of the service, several people came up to the altar, and gave God control of things in their lives. Many people were struggling with the future. Trying to figure out God’s plan for their life, trusting God to provide for them, or just letting go of the fear of the future. We also met Josh, a student who is interested in Masters Commission and had even received information from us. This morning we had breakfast with the pastor of the church and Josh, and we just had a great time sharing what God is doing in our lives.
We then traveled to Horizon Christian Fellowship, the church we will be ministering tomorrow night. PJ, who graduated from our Masters Commission last year is the youth director there, so we had time to just hang with him and share with each other all that God is doing through our ministry. He is working on an amazing youth room, and God is doing amazing things through his ministry. We are currently at Lindsey’s house, another student that graduated last year, and we are just spending time together, relaxing and fellowshipping. It is such a blessing to see old friends and just spend time together as a family.
Last night we were at Embassy Youth Ministry of Cornerstone AG in Massachusetts and it was an amazing service. Before the service even started, the presence of God was so evident, and then we went in to a time of worship. The Masters Commission worship team had the opportunity to lead worship, and it was truly a blessing to be able to join the students in worship. We then moved into the rest of our rally, and it was amazing to see how tangibly God was dealing with issues in the student’s lives. Many of the students were dealing with a lot of stuff in their lives, from family issues to pressures from school and a lot of other stuff. It was awesome to see how God was dealing with those issues in their lives, and to have the opportunity to be a part of the healing God was doing in their lives. We had a great time at Cornerstone and even got to meet Kaley, who is accepted for next year of Masters. It was such a blessing to be at Cornerstone AG and be a part of what God is doing.

Thursday and Friday of last week, we had the privilege of being able to help with the Penn-Del A/G youth convention in Hershey, PA. It was an absolutely amazing weekend and it truly was an honor to be a part of it. This is the home district of a couple of our students, and we have also visited many of the churches in the district, so we saw a lot of familiar faces. Worth Dying For, the worship band for the weekend, led us in times of praise and celebration, as well as intimate times of worship, and the word of God was delivered by Robert Madu. He did an amazing job of teaching the word of God, and how it applies to our lives. There were nearly six thousand students at the conference, and about half of them responded on Friday by committing themselves to pursue God with everything, and follow the call He has placed on their lives. It was an incredible weekend that had a real and tangible impact on everyone who was there.

This past weekend, we got to visit Clintonville, PA and do a youth rally there. It was a great time, and we got to see a lot of familiar faces, as our friends from Oil City came to the rally. Cassandra got the opportunity to give the altar call and it was completely anointed. I know that it had as much of an impact on us MC students as it did on the teens at the rally. God really moved in a tangible way that night. On Sunday morning, we were able to be a part of the Palm Sunday service at the same church. There’s nothing better than starting out the Holy Week with a little Stomp! Pastor Mike was able to give the message, and again God moved in a mighty and powerful way.
On Sunday night we drove a couple of hours to a church called Glad Tidings. The opportunity we had there was so God ordained. We didn’t even know that we would be there until just before we left for the trip, but I believe firmly that God knew we would be there and He had some divine appointments ready for us. The congregation was so welcoming, and it instantly felt like we were home. Peter even got the opportunity to play drums for worship that night! God’s presence was so heavy on the service, and I don’t think that anyone left that night unchanged, Master’s Commission students included. I know that God did some radical things in my life that night. Pastor Tony ended the night by encouraging us to just sit for a while in God’s presence. It was so good to be able to come together as the body of Christ and just seek the Lord together in worship and in prayer. God was so faithful to meet with us this weekend, and He showed up in so many incredible ways!

This morning we once again had the privilege of being able to be a part of the chapel at Red Lion Christian Academy. It is always a blessing to be a part of their ministry. We did two chapels, one for junior high and one for senior high, in which we did stomp and a couple of dramas that challenged the students to surrender to God the things in their life that are holding them back. At the end of each chapel the students broke up into small groups, and we had the opportunity to be a part of the small groups, talk about the things the students were dealing with, and pray for each other. Afterward, we were able to hang out with the students for two lunch periods. It was a great time of building relationships with the students, and being able to encourage them in their walk with God. The students in Red Lion were eager to grow and learn, and they earnestly desire a deeper relationship with God. It was a blessing to be a part of what God is doing in their lives.
This past weekend we took over 150 students to North Bay retreat center in Maryland for our [un]plugged spring retreat. It was an amazing weekend where we got to spend time with the students from our youth group and deepen our relationships while challenging each other to grow closer to God. The band Compelled led worship for us and Jason Maupin, an internationally known speaker and graduate of Fort Myers Masters Commission, challenged us to examine our walk with God and give Him every part of ourselves. Small groups and workshops provided time for students to build relationships and talk about what God is doing in their lives. We also had lots of fun playing dodge ball, basketball, on the rock climbing walls, high ropes course, zip-line, and the new giant swing. We also had our annual GZ Olympics, and our famous glow-in-the-dark dodge ball. In the end, it was an amazing weekend of building friendships and seeking after God.

We
are very excited about this weekend. We will be going to North East, MD and running our Ground Zero Spring Retreat.
This year we have nearly 160 students coming to spend a weekend seeking God. At ground zero our motto is, “Serious about fun.
Serious about God.” In being serious about fun, there will be video games, open gym, dodge ball & basketball tournaments,
climbing walls, high ropes courses, a zip-line, our famous glow-in-the-dark dodge ball, and our very own Ground Zero
Olympics where cabins will compete against each other in some crazy games. Being serious about God, we have the band
Compelled leading us in worship for the weekend, and Jason Maupen, a graduate of Fort Myers Masters Commission and
internationally known speaker, will be challenging us to take a deeper look at our relationship with God. The Spring
Retreat is one of the most anticipated weekends of the Masters year, because we get to spend all weekend with our
youth group students and be a part of what God is doing in their lives. It’s also a time where we have the opportunity
to examine ourselves and see what God is doing in our lives. The theme for this year’s retreat is unplugged. We are going
to get “unplugged” in our relationship with God in the sense that we want to be real, open, unprocessed, and raw in our
relationship with Him. We don’t want to have a relationship with Him that is polished and perfect, but rather one that
is real and meaningful. Please pray for the spring retreat and all that God is going to do!
Also be praying for the Metro Maryland Youth For Christ retreat called "IMPACT" which is being held this same weekend.
Ground Zero Masters Commission is sending six students down to help setup, run security, and to teach a workshop
for teens on how to share their faith with their friends in practical, step by step, real life, ways.
Lastly, we're holding our Spring Preview Day next Friday, April 3rd. If you haven't signed up yet, click the link on the

To say that this past week has been incredibly hectic would be an understatement. In addition to the team that went to Virginia, some of us went to West Virginia and then to western Pennsylvania. We all got back home from the Dominican Republic on Tuesday, and on Wednesday my team left for West Virginia. We had the opportunity to be a part of some 7 Project school assemblies with Kevin Dawson, the Youth Alive Director of the Potomac A/G youth district. It is always amazing when we get the opportunity to go into a public school and reach out to the students there. So many of them are hurting, and even though we are unable to preach about Christ, we can share his love by showing these students that someone really does care. In regards to
our team, it is always an incredible experience when one comes to the end of
himself, both physically and spiritually, and he has no choice but to put all of
his trust and dependence on God. Even though we were all tired, the team kept
their composure and did all that was required without complaints.
We also got the chance to minister at the churches of two of our 1st year students which was incredible. It is always encouraging to see the moral and spiritual support that comes from the friends and family of a student; it reveals the background that the student came from and how God had been nourishing them before they even came to masters. Since we left, God had been with us and it is always such an honor to join Him where He is already working. We got to witness and be a part of people who made the decision to follow Christ, we saw people recommit themselves to Christ and we even saw a couple of young men who were very deep into Satanism delivered from it, all because God’s plan was already at work in their lives. The kingdom of God is forcefully advancing and I am so glad that we are all a part of it, and I will do everything that I can and more, while I am still here to give Him all the glory and to do His will, no matter what the cost.
Praise God for for the opportunities that He has placed before us to joing Him in the work that He is doing! You can see pictures from the weekend by going to our Photos Page.

This past weekend we spent three days in Virginia and we had the opportunity to minister at three different churches. Friday night we were at Buena Vista Pentecostal holiness church in Buena Vista, VA. Pastor Jason, the youth pastor there, was one of Meaghan O’Malley’s youth leaders from before she came to Masters Commission. The church there was very welcoming, and we felt right at home. There were three bands that started the night off with worship, and then we did our rally. The presence of God was moving, and all of us came out changed.
On Saturday we had breakfast with Pastor Jason and his wife, and then drove to Promisedland Church in Spotsylvania, VA. We have worked together with Pastor Aaron, the youth pastor, and this church many times before, and it felt like home being there. We knew some of the students that came out and were able to build on the relationships that we already had with them. They had a guest speak talk on commitment to open the service, and then we did our rally. It was an amazing night of encountering God. Nancy had the opportunity to give the altar call, and many people came forward to deal with hurts in their lives, rededicate their lives, or come to Christ for the first time. Praise God for an amazing night.
Sunday we attended church at Freedom Church A/G before driving to Culpeper A/G in Culpeper, VA. We worked with Culpeper A/G earlier this year, helping them with their fall retreat, so being there provided us with a great opportunity to reconnect with some of the students we met at the retreat. The church’s worship team started the service with worship. It is always refreshing to be able to worship with the people at the churches we go to. The anointing was upon the entire service, and God moved deeply in many people’s lives.
Praise God for an amazing weekend of ministry! Go to the photos page to see pictures from the Rallies.

We arrived in the Dominican Republic on Monday March 9th, and we spent the day with Pastor Carlos, the pastor we were working with, just getting to know him and learning about his ministry and the work that God was doing in the area of Hato Mayor. We were also able to go over some of the details of the week, as our involvement with him was very last minute. It was great to hear about all that God had been doing through Pastor Carlos and his ministry in Hato Mayor. After just a short time talking to him and hearing about all that God had been doing, and hearing about what they had planned for the week, it was very evident that God had a specific reason for bringing us to Hato Mayor. Near the end of the week, Pastor Carlos’ church was having three celebration services to celebrate their new church building, and he was very excited to include us in those services.
On Tuesday part of the team spent the morning helping another missionary team build houses for people in the area that either didn’t have houses, or their houses were falling down. The rest of the team went with Pastor Carlos and we prayed for some of the churches in the area that they had planted. We also prayed for a piece of land that they had been given by the government to build an orphanage on, and another piece of land that they were praying for to put a school on. In the afternoon we went to the center of the village that we staying in and we did a kids crusade. We spent time just loving the kids, playing soccer and baseball with them, making bead bracelets with the younger kids, and the girls painted fingernails. Then we gathered all the kids together, did a drama for them and talked about the message of Jesus, and how much he loves us.
On Wednesday, we went to a Haitian community and helped dig the foundation for a kitchen that feeds nearly 300 kids from the community every day. They are currently doing this out of a tiny building that is structurally unsound. That afternoon, we did a kids crusade in the village with about 50 kids. We also helped to paint the inside of the church in the community. Many of the kids were with us all day, and we were able to build friendships with them and just share the love of Christ with them by loving them.
On Thursday morning we went out into the community we were staying in and walked through the community going house to house and witnessing to the people there. We divided ourselves into five teams and spread out through the community. It was humbling to see the warmness with which we were welcomed by everyone. We were able to encourage those who were already Christians and share the gospel with those who weren’t. It was the same community that we did the kids crusade in on Tuesday and it was great to see some of the kids again, and to see the impact that our time with them had on their parents, some of the parents were in tears they were so thankful that we had taken time to love their kids. In the afternoon we travelled to another village and did a kids crusade. It gets harder and harder every time to say goodbye to the kids. Thursday evening four of the girls went with the other team that was there and handed out food to over fifty different families in the area that needed food. Then we went to a small sister church and where Sherry gave a message about how God can transform the hurts in our lives and give us joy in return. There were about 75 people gathered there in the street because we didn’t all fit in the church. We also did a drama and at the end prayed for about 20 people that came forward for healing, either physical or spiritual.
Friday morning we went to a small village that sprung up just outside of an orange grove about 16 kilometers outside of Hato Mayor. The majority of the people that lived their worked in the orange grove and didn’t make much money. We were able to go house to house, talking to the people there and distributing items like soap, dishes and toys for kids. In the afternoon we went to another village in Hato Mayor, it was an area that was designated by the owner as free land for those who need a place to live, it is very densely populated and many of the people there did not have jobs. Friday night we went to the first of three celebration services to celebrate the new church building that Pastor Carlos’ church just moved into.
We did more door to door evangelism on Saturday morning. We were in the same village that we had been in on Thursday, so we knew many of the people there, and we were able to revisit some of the people that we had already talked to. It was cool to see all that God had been doing in their lives in just a few days. Saturday afternoon we had time to rest and prepare for the dramas we would be doing the rest of the week. Some of the team went with Pastor Carlos during this time and prayed for a piece of land in a Haitian community that they are asking the government to give them to put a church on. That evening we went to the second of the celebration services where we were given the opportunity to minister through drama. It was such a blessing to be able to minister at Pastor Carlos’ church. There was over 600 people in attendance from nearly 30 different churches.
There was a missions conference at the church on Sunday morning that we were able to attend. It was great to see all that the church is involved in and how they are concerned about reaching their community. During the afternoon, we had time to relax and prepare for the service that evening. We then went to the third and final celebration service, at which we were again blessed to be able to minister through drama. At each of these services, there were Dominican recording artists, a time of worship, and a message from Pastor Carlos’ senior pastor from Puerto Rica. The presence of God was extremely evident at each of these services, and it was a blessing to be a part of what God is doing through Pastor Carlos in Hato Mayor and beyond.
We had an unexpected opportunity come up for Monday and we were able to go that morning to the Haitian community that we some of the team went to on Saturday. We able to once again pray for the land where they are hoping to build the church, do a kids crusade, and walk through the community praying for the people there. It was a very densely populated area, and many of the people there were dealing with sickness. We were able to pray for the people there, as well as give them things like soap, miscellaneous hygiene items, and toys and coloring books for the kids. After lunch we gathered together and Pastor Carlos spoke to us a little about everything that had happened during the week. He also gave a short devotion and encouraged us to continue striving after God. We originally had nothing planned for Monday since we were leaving later in the day, but it was a blessing to have one more opportunity to meet people and share the love of Christ with them.
Thank you again for all of your prayers and support. To see pictures from the mission trip, go to our Photos Page.

Hey everyone my name is Michelle, and being in the Dominican Republic is a lot like the first week of Masters for me. Here, everyday is new and different. Everyday I am learning and growing; and at the same time there is so much to process and take in. One experience that I had defiantly opened my eyes in a new way. During a time when we were evangelizing in the streets of Hato Mayor; we met a woman, who at that time, we were only planning on praying for basic things and then heading back for lunch because our time was running out for us to be outside our camp grounds. This woman however was just yearning to have a relationship with God. She knew all these facts about Him and had all this head knowledge of who a Christian is, but she didn’t want to believe in it. Something inside of her was holding her back from fully committing her life to God. Myself, as well as the rest of my team, could feel the Holy Spirit calling her to allow God to change her heart. We came so close to praying her into salvation; but this woman would not let go of the last grip that she had with this world. She was so afraid of what a life with God was going to look like and the places that God might bring her, she feared what other people would say about her. And she allowed those things to hold her back. As I watched her tell us no and as our time with her ran out, we were forced to leave her. I became so overwhelmed with sorrow for the choice that she had made. My heart hurt for her and how lost she was; and how close she came to experiencing freedom. Freedom that she doesn’t even realize is everything she is looking for. On our walk back to our camp, our translator said something to me that made me realize something about God that I never pieced together before. He said, “ We are leaving but God is not, He is still there and working in her.” I have been shown here in the Dominican Republic that sometimes all that we are capable of doing is planting a seed. It is a choice that all people have. To let go, and allow God in. To want Him or reject Him. We cannot force, we can only present. And even though I am leaving for America, God is still here with these people. And the seeds that my team and I have planted will still be here as well. My prayer is that God uses those seeds according to His perfect will. God Bless the people of Hato Mayor.
Hi this is Donna Kroll. This is the first time for me being over seas and on a mission trip, and I had no idea what to expect. I had heard stories of past mission trips but now that I have experienced a week in the Dominican Republic it is nothing like I have ever heard before. With each opportunity I was able to see how God blessed and provided for the people here, and how much I take for granted the things God blesses me with. There were so many great opportunities like being able to build a house for a young gentleman and seeing the joy he had for a new home. We were able to go house to house evangelizing with the people. It was amazing to just be able to be invited so warmly into their homes and sit and talk about God. I was able to see the great devotion and love that they have for God and how desperate they are to be filled even more with Him. Throughout the week we also had the chance to spend time with the children in the communities. They were so excited to be able to play with us and make bracelets, necklaces, and paint fingernails. They were so open and loving. It was funny when I would try to talk to the kids with only knowing how to say hello in Spanish. They would try to teach me how to speak in Spanish and would try to learn words in English as well. Even though I came not knowing Spanish and still don’t know a lot, God didn’t let that hinder His love being sharing while playing with the children, building homes, and going house to house evangelizing. God’s love was still reaching out and touching lives. The people here have such a big heart and faith in God that He will provide no matter what. I’m so blessed for being able to experience all of these things this week and having a greater understanding of God my provider.
This is Nick Cirino, and one of the greatest parts of this mission trip was the opportunity we had to evangelize house to house in several different towns and witness to people about Jesus. In some we planted, in others we watered, and in many God chose to use us at that time to reap the harvest of their salvation. It was incredible. I have never done that type of ministry before and what an honor it was to be a part of it. We went house to house meeting people and talking to them about faith in Jesus.
In the Dominican the people are very hospitable and are very ready to welcome you into their home. They all have a few extra chairs stacked in the corner in case they have visitors. They were very open to talking about spiritual things, and we were given many opportunities to explain the gospel. It was interesting to see how each town responded differently. One village we went to was up in the mountains and they were a community that was sustained by the orange grove right next to it. We went in the morning, so all the men were out working in the fields, but we had the opportunity to talk to the women and children. There was a Catholic school there, but as far as I could tell there were no churches. Looking back, I see that it was a town fertile for the gospel. While they all knew about Jesus, they had never given their life to him or had made the decision to become Christians, maybe because no one had talked to them about it before. God opened the doors for my group (we split into five different groups) to talk to four different people, two mothers and two teenage boys, and each on that day accepted Jesus.
Other towns we went to were not as ready to receive the gospel. As we got closer to the city their seemed to be more of a callousness to sin and to church, there were many more walls and many more excuses of why they didn’t want to accept Jesus. It was an entirely different witnessing atmosphere. But God was so faithful to us. Everywhere we went we could feel His leadings. Each person was in a different place spiritually and had different needs, and it was really cool to see how God would guide us at each different house. Some needed to hear our testimonies, some needed to hear that God would accept them despite what they had done, some needed to understand the need for a savior. But in every conversation we sought to preach Christ and Him crucified (1 Cor 2:1-5; 15:1-4), and it was amazing to see how God used such a simple message to work on the hearts of those we were talking to. I had such a keen sense that it was the power of the message that was working in those we were talking to. It wasn’t my words or ability, but the power of God working through the preaching of His gospel. I learned so much through that experience, I pray that God would continue to give me the boldness to preach his message and make clear the mystery of Christ! (Col 4:2-4, Eph 6:19-20)

Hola! Dios le bendiga. Oops, I forgot I can speak English here. We are back from the Dominican Republic, and we had an absolutely incredible time. As you have probably already read in our updates from the DR, we had many amazing ministry opportunities while we were there. Pastor Carlos leads a large church that was birthed from a church in Puerto Rico and his church has planted many sister churches in the area. He has a heart for ministry and reaching not only his community, but the entire country and even the world with the message of Christ. He is also heavily involved in providing for the physical needs of the community around him. He operates a water filtration system that provides jobs for a couple of people in addition to providing good clean water to the community at cost (about 25 cents in USD for a five gallon jug). His facilities host many missions teams that come in and build homes and distribute food for the people in the area. He was extremely excited that we were there, and use our dramas and ministry experience to provide for the spiritual needs of the area.
We were able to go to many different communities in the area and do children’s crusades as well as door to door evangelism. It was amazing to see how powerfully God moved through what we did. One of the things that really surprised me was the impact that our children’s crusades had on parents that were not even there. As we traveled door to door in areas where we had done a children’s crusade, we talked to countless parents that were so thankful that we had spent time loving their kids. Through this, we had an open door to talk about Christ, His love, and what He has done in our lives. I was blown away by how God was drawing people unto Himself, and I was so thankful to be able to be a part of that.
We also had the opportunity to be involved in several church services throughout the week, doing dramas, and even preaching. Pastor Carlos’ church was celebrating their new building while we were there and in doing so they had three celebration services in which there was about 700 people from over 27 different churches present at each service, there were Christian recording artists from the Dominican singing, and Pastor Carlos’s pastor from the mother church in Puerto Rica gave the message. We were given the honor of doing a drama in two of those services. It was awesome to see how God moved through the dramas, and the message came through clear even though they did not understand the words of the song. As Pastor Carlos was in the community the next day, he receive countless testimonies of how God had spoken through the dramas to touch someone’s life. Praise God that He was glorified through us! It was truly a blessing to serve alongside of Pastor Carlos in glorifying God in Hato Mayor!
Each of us experienced God during the week, and here are a few of the ways in which we saw Him:
Hey this is Cassandra, I am so blessed and honored to be here. It is hard to know where to begin writing because so much has happened and God is doing so much. It is amazing to see our MC team working together, for many of our first years have never been out of the country before. Talking to a few of them it is awesome to see how they are able to see God moving in a new and fresh way within them. We have the incredible opportunity to see many different places within Hato Mayor and minister to different types of people. What remains the same in all the places that we go is the love that is shown to us. It is humbling to have such pure love shown from someone who has never laid eyes on you before. We do not even have to do anything when we step out of the bus that takes us around before we have children latching onto our hands. In my head it is hard to think that way. So many times we think that we have to do something, we have to earn love and respect, not here. Here it is so freeing because you can truly be yourself and not worry about what people are going to think of you. I have fallen in love with Pastor Carlos’ daughter. She is ten years old and full of life, laughter, and sass. When we first got here she was very shy and would not really hang around us for a long time. But as the week has gone on she has become more and more open with us. Most people do not know that she can actually understand about 80% or 90% of English, and she is beginning to now speak it with us. What was amazing about this little girl is that we did not have to work to get her to open up. We did not have to pry, we did not have to force our way in or pretended to be someone we are not, she just opened up when we showed her love. It is going to truly break my heart to leave her and this beautiful country. Here the love is so tangible. And with this tangible love, I am so humbled. During service last night we did the drama “Everything” which is my life story. I was letting so many different things get in the way, between me and God. I was separated from Him by all the junk that I had allowed in my life. When the drama was over and we sat down in the pew, it took everything not to ball. I was overwhelmed with God’s grace on my life. I saw these people packed in the church yelling and cheering as the girl in the drama fought to get to Jesus’, and all I could think of is that I have no right to be in front of them. I had no right this week to be invited into their homes and tell them of the power and love of Christ. I had no right, but there I was. All I could do is cry. All I wanted to do was cry for all. I saw how far god has brought me, how close me and Him have become. Which led to me seeing how far God wanted to bring the people that we have been speaking to this week. They have such amazing love and most of them know and believe in God, but they have been fed the lie that they are unworthy of having a relationship with God. Most of them can only see how broken and dirty they are and they think that a holy and pure God could never love them. It is crazy to think that these people who love so deeply cannot fathom that God would love them. Last night was so powerful because the Pastor preaching even hit on how no one is worthy of God’s love but He loves us just the same. And it is my heart that these people would come to understand the love and grace of God. For I know that understanding His love and grace in my life has made all the difference. It is incredibly humbling to have these people looking at us like we are amazing Christians, for Lord knows that I have more then my fair share of mess ups. Forever I will pray that God’s love is poured out to these people through other mission groups and the Christians of this country.
Hi my name is Bre. This trip to the D.R. has been very special and unique to me because of the opportunities we had to evangelize. On our first day doing a children’s crusade I met beautiful young girl named Yaimi (Jamie). We painted each other’s finger nails and then started playing a game of tag by running around our bus. As we ran around we were getting tired but I noticed then that she had a hard time breathing and would often gasp for air and cough. As the children’s crusade continued my attention turned towards our dramas and the other children that we crawling on my back. A few days later we were able to do door to door evangelism in that same area. As we were walking around Yaimi found our group and held onto my shoulders and hands the entire time. Her and I colored a drawing and I noticed again that she had trouble breathing and it was worse than before when we were running around. As I waited for the translator to be available I asked her a few questions in my broken Spanish, she answered that she knew Jesus and about the Bible. When our translator was available I started to tell her that in the Bible Jesus had healed children that were sick, I shared Mark 11:24 which says “Therefore I tell you whatever you ask for in prayer believe that you have received it and it will be yours.” I told her that I believed that Jesus could heal her and she answered that she believed too. Pastor Mike was there and he shared his testimony of being healed at a young age from asthma. We prayed for her believing that Jesus would heal her, when we were finished she was crying. We hugged her, told her how much we loved her and gave her a Bible. She attended church that night and sat with us, she showed us the Bible that we had given her and how she had written her name and the date in it already. This story truly touched my heart and I will remember Yaimi forever. I know that God touched her life that day in a way that she will never forget as he did mine.
Thank you so much for all of your prayers and support!

Yesterday was another full day for us here in the Dominican Republic. Yesterday morning we broke into groups of 5 and went from house to house talking to the people in the village about Jesus Christ. We spent time with each family praying, talking to them about Jesus and ministering with them. Being in each person’s home, hearing their struggles, pain, and prayer requests challenged us individually and as a team. The team stepped up to the occasion, and we saw God move in incredible ways. In the afternoon, we did another Kid’s Crusade with 50 children. We are having so much fun with the children in the village! Last night we ministered at another church service. We did a Spanish version of one of our dramas, “In Return.” Afterwards Sherryanne MacPherson, one of our third years, preached the message. God moved in a mighty way and people came to the altar for prayer.
On a side note, the food here is great! Everyone is healthy and excited by what God is doing. Thank you for your prayers!

Hello from the Dominican Republic! The last two days have been filled with amazing ministry and incredible opportunities to be used by God. Yesterday, we broke into 3 different groups. One group went to minister at a Haitian refuge camp. Another group worked on the foundation for a new 25’ x 25’ kitchen for the church. When they were finished, they also had time to paint the church. The last group did a kid’s crusade in town for over 50 children. Afterwards, we all came together to eat dinner, hear about each other’s day, and take time to pray. In the evening we had time to practice a few of our skits, dramas, and testimonies for today’s church services. God is using us in ways we never could have imagined. We hope to have a few pictures uploaded soon!

We are in the Dominican Republic! Our day started at midnight today when we left the CLC for the JFK airport. We boarded the plane at 6:00am and were in the DR by 10:30am. After having lunch with the Pastor we are working with this week, we headed to the church to move in, get settled, and find out more about the upcoming week. Tomorrow we will be visiting the construction site we are working at this week. Tomorrow afternoon we will be doing a Kid’s crusade for the area we are ministering in. Over the next week, we will be working at the construction site and ministering in churches. We are excited about everything God is doing and the divine appointments God has set up already. Please continue to pray for our ministry opportunities!

Tomorrow we leave for our overseas mission trip to the Dominican Republic. We originally planned to return to La Cuaba, the village that we went to last year, but some things fell through last minute with the missions organization that we are working with. Just twenty-four hours ago we were informed that they are unable to take us back to La Cuaba. Instead, they have decided to take us to Hato Mayor to minister there. Because everything is so last minute, we don’t know everything that we will be doing. We do know that we will be doing some construction stuff in the village, possibly on homes, and/or on a kitchen for a ministry that houses Haitian children. The church we will be working with is a brand new church, and we will have the opportunity to be a part of their inauguration service of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Even though it will probably not be on as large and organized of a scale as what we had planned for La Cuaba, we will be able to spend time with the kids of the community. Playing games with them, loving them, and sharing the gospel with them. The village of Hato Mayor has seen very little in terms of missionary involvement, and some of the people there, while they may have heard of Jesus, have never heard the true gospel, so we are going into an area that is ripe for evangelism. I am very excited to see how God is going to be glorified through us going to Hato Mayor. Although there is a degree of uncertainty and nervousness that comes with the circumstances, I am very excited to see what God has planned for this trip. God is sovereign and He has an amazing plan for this trip; I can’t wait to see what He is going to do in our lives and the lives of the people of Hato Mayor. As we travel to the Dominican Republic and minister to the people of Hato Mayor, we would incredibly grateful if you would lift us up in prayer.
In praying for the mission trip as a whole, here are a few things you can pray for. Pray for safety in our travels, and safety during our time in the Dominican Republic. Pray for God’s anointing to be upon us and our ministry, that would live for His glory and in obedience to the Spirit’s leading. Pray for the people of the Dominican Republic, especially those in Hato Mayor, that God would be working on their hearts and drawing them unto Him. Pray that we would not be distracted, but rather that we would be focused on what God is doing and what He wants to do through us and in us. We want to be open not only to what God wants to do through us, but also in us. Pray that we would be ministers of God’s love. And Finally, Pray that in all that we do, God would be glorified.
Specifically, you can pray for our time doing construction, that in meeting the physical needs of the people, we would be ministers of God’s love. You can also pray for the Haitian ministry, that their ministry would be blessed, and that through the new kitchen that we will be building they would be able to continue to meet the needs of those that come to them.
Pray for the time we will spend ministering to the children in Hato Mayor. Pray for those who come from a life of brokenness and pain, that they would experience the love of God. Pray that we would be able to effectively share with them the gospel, in a way that makes sense to them and that causes a change in their life for eternity.
Pray for the church that we will be working with. That as they begin their ministry in Hato Mayor that they would be blessed. Pray that many people would come to a saving knowledge of God through their ministry. That this church would be a beacon of hope to those around it, and that it would provide for the needs of the community, spiritual first and physical as well.
Pray for Pastor Carlos, the pastor that is hosting us. Pray that God would bless his ministry and all that he is doing in Hato Mayor. We are blessed that he was able to host us on such short notice, and we want to assist him in the ministry that he is doing. Without his ministry, our time in the Dominican Republic would be all but fruitless. Because of the long term ministry that he is doing, we can be effective in our short term ministry. Pray that God would give him the strength he needs to minister effectively to those in his community.

On Saturday night we held our second annual missions fundraiser. The theme for the fundraiser was I Dolce D’Italia, The Desserts of Italy, and there were free Italian deserts for all. We also had a marketplace with items for sale that been donated by local businesses. Many of the families of Masters Commission students were there, as well as home openers, church family, leaders of ministries that we work with, and many others. It was an incredible night of sharing all that God has done and is doing in our lives. It is always so refreshing to talk and hear about all that God is doing.
After some time of fellowship and deserts, everyone gathered in the sanctuary where we had the opportunity to minister through stomp and dramas. We then shared a little about last year’s mission trip and all of the amazing things that God did. We then talked about some of the things we are going to be doing this year. We are going to be working on a new building for the church, doing a medical clinic, hosting a kids crusade, and many other exciting things. We have many incredible opportunities before us this year in the Dominican Republic, and we are anxiously waiting to see the amazing things that God is going to do.
If you wish to donate to this year’s Mission trip to the Dominican Republic, please contact Christine@gzmconline.com or call: 610.869.7332.

This past Sunday we were at Grace UMC in Hagerstown, MD. It was awesome! God really moved in the lives of the students and the adults. Some of the students and youth leaders that we met at “The Rock” youth convention last month were there, and it was really cool to see them again and watch them try to do some parts from our “Five Sexy Guys” skit. We got to be a part of an awesome youth rally where we did stomp and a few dramas, and we were able to share our personal testimonies with the students. There was also live worship and we got to hear the amazing David Burke give the message.
At the end of the service, we prayed for our families and schools, famines around the world, world peace, and each other. After the service we got to hang out with the students and build relationships with them. It was such a blessing to be at Grace UMC, and share in what God is doing there.

This weekend we had the privilege of returning to Lifeway Church of God in lower Delaware with Pastor Bob! Pastor Bob is such an inspiration to us all, he has such a heart and vision to disciple the youth. This weekend our focus was training student leaders. We had several different churches from several different backgrounds come to the day-long equipping conference. We ran some exciting seminars on drama ministry, sharing our faith, and altar time training. It seemed like the students really learned a lot. After a two hour dinner break, the youth groups came back to join us for the Ignite Youth Rally, which was incredibly powerful. From the start you could feel the excitement and hunger for God. God showed up in a mighty way and we had a really powerful altar call. It was awesome to be able to pray with the students and be a part of what God was doing in their life. It is so humbling that God chooses to use us. When God shows up like He did there, I always have such a strong sense of how I really did nothing, but God did everything…and He chose to use me in what He was doing.
It was really cool to see how the first year students are growing in their speaking; how they are learning how to share their testimony and how to handle speaking to large crowds. God is really using what they have gone through to minister to other students who are going through the same. It’s exciting to see how God is growing them in their speaking, and how He is using them. That is something I love about MC: it provides so many opportunities for students to learn ministry by actually doing it. We not only have the opportunity to study God’s word, but then we get to actually apply it to ministry. As much as a person studies ministry, there is a large part of it that can only be learned by doing it. I praise God that He has opened so many doors to us to be able to do hands-on ministry! And I pray that He would continue to teach us and prepare us for what He has planned for us!

Hi everyone! On Friday we had the honor and privilege of going to Iglesia Fuente De Agua Viva (Spanish for Fountain of Living Water Church) in New Castle, Delaware to minister. It was really special because it was the first time we had the opportunity to go to a Hispanic Church! It was my first time praising Jesus in Spanish, and I have got to tell you, it was a blast! There was an overwhelming feeling of love that came from everyone who was there, and you could feel that God was moving long before the service started.
We all felt so blessed that God chose us to be there and used us to minister to His people at Iglesia Fuente De Agua Viva. As always we enjoyed fellowship time before and after the service, and we got the chance to make some good friendships. It was great to hear some of the things God had done in the student’s lives and things that He is continuing to do. It truly was a blessing to be a part of what God is doing in Iglesia Fuente De Agua Viva.
Groundzero Master’s Commission is preparing for our
2009 Overseas Mission Trip!
We are excited to see God move and work in our lives, and the people we meet.

Hey guys, I just wanted to share with you something that God has been revealing to me recently. Sometimes I get the feeling like I’m not supposed to be here, but I’ve realized that whenever I feel this, I should slap myself right then and there. So many confirmations are handed to me day after day that I am placed here in MC this year for a reason. Even the books that I am reading on the side are speaking words into my heart that I need and have longed to articulate and hear from God.
Redeeming Love (the book) states something so beautiful. After Michael had just rescued Angel/Amanda for the second time and she is just starting to really fall in love with him, she says, “You saved me again.” And he replies,” I’m only a tool beloved. Not your Savior.”
I realized, that no matter how perfect and satisfying a guy’s love may feel to me, it doesn’t even come close to Christ’s love for me. That man-made love that I should one day share with my husband is the best representation Christ can give me to show me His love for me. But see, the love of a man doesn’t even do God’s love any justice because it is coming through a man, not directly from Him, so therefore it’s tainted and not perfect, as is His love for me. Therefore, I am realizing that “love”, as I have learned to view it, is not even close to what real love is, the love that Christ has for me and can give me. His love surpasses anything that this world can offer. Even the greatest man in the world cannot represent Christ’s love to the fullest to me, only God can do that. I am learning to accept that fact, and go after God’s love before I go after any other love that a person on this earth has for me. Because why would I want to go after the second best kind of love before I go after the true, unblemished love of God?

On Wednesday, we had the tremendous opportunity of being able to minister at Grace UMC in Hyndman, PA. From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly welcomed, and through the rest of the night, we built many lasting relationships. The presence of God was evident from the moment we arrived, and He was moving in powerful ways throughout the service. There was an incredible sense of peace throughout the night, the kind of peace that goes far beyond our ability to understand. It is obvious that God is working there, and we were blessed to be a part of what He is doing.
As always, we had so much fun getting to know people before and after the service, including the high school wrestling team, which joined us for the night. It is always refreshing to get to know other believers and see what God is doing in their life, and it truly was a blessing to be in Hyndman, and share in the excitement of what God is doing. This weekend we went to two of our students home churches in West Virginia. We went down on Saturday and spent the evening with Tom’s family. We had dinner with them and then just hung out and played some games. The next morning we went to Tom’s church, Victory Assembly of God in Weston, where we were blessed to be able to join them for a time of worship in the beginning of the service, before our rally. After lunch with the youth leader and some of students, we traveled to Noah’s Ark Assembly of God in Fairview. It was great to be back at Noah’s Ark, another one of those places that feels like home to us. We then had dinner with some of the people from the church after the rally.
God moved in incredible ways over the weekend. We were so blessed to go and share in God’s work in both of these churches. To see pictures from the rallies or the tour click here.

We have started a public school assembly program called Explicit Truth Assemblies that is aimed at reaching students in public schools and encouraging them to make decisions that will have a positive impact on their future. The program is multimedia rich and uses stomp, drama and other tools to engage the students and talk about issues that they are dealing with. Some of the topics that we cover include identity, purity and abstinence, addictions, choices, and much more. Our goal is to motivate students to make positive choices and avoid negative behaviors which can permanently influence their lives. We stress that all of us have the ability to impact the world, and the decisions we make will determine whether or not we reach that potential.

After the Youth Convention in early January, we received an encouraging message from one of the students that we had seen there. We had been to her church in the past, and recognized her and some of the other students that were with her. A few weeks after the convention, we received the following email from her.
I just wanted to thank the Ground Zero Masters Commission team for coming to Ocean City this year. Two years ago when you came to my church in Leola, PA, I accepted Christ into my life, and have been waiting to see you again ever since. Thank you very much for everything you do. Megan
It is so encouraging to see what God is doing through us in student’s lives all over the country. If you have a praise you would like to share with us, please contact us, we’d love to hear from you.

One significant advantage of Masters Commission over Bible college or any other ministry-training program is that in Masters Commission, we as students gain actual hands-on ministry experience. Upon graduating from Masters commission, we are equipped to actually do ministry in the real world, and this is because while here at Master’s Commission, we are involved in actual ministry that truly impacts lives. One of the ways we are involved in and gain experience in real ministry is through our Ministry Practicums.
One of the many ministry practicums that we are involved in, is youth ministry administration. Students in this practicum are involved in the administrative side of Ground Zero Youth Ministry (our home youth ministry that reaches nearly three hundred students per week). Students involved in this practicum keep attendance records, send information to new visitors, prepare mailers, and even coordinate and organize special events and retreats. Those involved in this practicum are learning important aspects of how to manage and sustain a youth ministry administratively. They are also able to serve God in a ministry that is really changing lives. This is just one of the many ministry practicums that we have, others include graphic design, children’s ministry, stomp, creative arts/drama writing, web design, and much more. Through Ministry Practicums, we are given to opportunity to learn relevant skills and gain tangible experience that will help us through the rest of their lives, regardless of our future occupations.
This weekend we traveled north to Oil City, Pennsylvania. It was such a privilege to be able to go up there again. We were so welcomed by the people there that it really felt like we were at home. It was so cool being able to hang out with students and really get to build relationships with them. It is amazing how God can bring people together so fast in such a real and lasting way. It was awesome to see the hunger everyone on our team and everyone in the church had for God. And He showed up in a mighty way that night.
The next day the church planned for us to do a series of seminars for anyone who wanted to attend. First, Pastor Mike did a seminar about choices, and how our decisions and friends can effect our lives. After that, the guys and girls split up and two of our third year students talked to the students about honoring God through living a life of purity. After a short break (that included cookies!), we taught the students one of our dramas, "We All Want to Be Loved," and everyone had a blast. We ended the day with a seminar where we talked about surrendering our lives to Jesus, and not just living for Him on youth group days or just at church, but giving our whole lives to honor Him. We asked students to write down what they needed to surrender to God, and there was some truly powerful stuff that they surrendered: wounds from the past, unforgiveness, feeling like a failure, and so much more. We encouraged students to take the next step in their relationship with God and to go out and make a difference in the world around them.
We were supposed to leave that Saturday to come back home, but at the last second God provided an opportunity to minister at Oil City Community Alliance Church in nearby Franklin, where one of our MC graduates works as the youth director. They were generous enough to open up their gym that evening for anyone who wanted to hang out with us. We had so much fun! We played some crazy games like noodle hockey and newspaper-tackle and got to hang out with the youth group. It was such an honor to be able to not only meet this youth group, but to get to build strong relationships with them. I'm just floored by how God brought us together in such a real way. And I'm so excited to go back next year and to get to see everyone again. All glory be to God for everything that he did through us in our ministry! Last night we were honored to be able to minister at Love of Christ Church, a church that really feels like a second home for us. We know many of the students in the youth ministry and have been blessed to see what God has been doing in their lives. Last night God moved in powerful ways, in our lives just as much as in the lives of the students there. He was stripping away the things in our lives that were holding us back from getting closer to Him. We were able to talk with many of the students and share with each other what God was doing in our lives. Wow! God is absolutely amazing! This past weekend we had the opportunity to be a part of the Rock Youth Retreat in Ocean City, MD, and it was amazing to see all that God was doing through us and in us. We went down on Thursday and helped with set-up, putting up two full sounds systems as well as video and lighting equipment. We met Fort Myers Masters Commission, also there to help with the weekend, on Friday morning. It was awesome to be able to meet them and work hand in hand with them throughout the weekend. We spent a few hours on Friday morning learning from them the dramas we were going to be doing for the weekend, and then finished the final pieces of set-up.
Throughout the weekend we helped with everything from security to ushering for communion and doing dramas on the main stage. We also ran a drama workshop on Saturday in which we taught students part of one of our dramas. We were also able to just spend time with the students there and build relationships with them, sharing the love of God that we have experienced. It was cool to see the change that some of the students experienced during the weekend through worship, the message, and through simple fellowship with other believers. It was a totally God focused weekend that had a tremendous impact on every one of the nearly 7000 people involved.
Sunday evening, after we were done with tear-down and load-out, we were able to hang
out with the director of the retreat, his wife, and some of the other leaders, as well as Fort Myers for some down-time together. We ate tons of great food, played some games together, and then watched the super-bowl. It was really great to be able to spend time with each other, just talking and laughing. It was refreshing to share what God was doing in our lives, and be encouraged by each other.
One thing that we’ve found to be extremely valuable in our walk with God, is sharing what God has been doing in us. Every Tuesday and Thursday, during morning worship, one of the students has the opportunity to share with the rest of the team what God has been doing in their life. It is always an incredible blessing to hear what God is doing in the lives of those around me, and it seems to always encourage me in an area of my life that God is working on. It is cool to see how as God works in us individually, He is often doing something similar in the lives of all those on the team. Because of this, we are able to relate to each other’s struggles, and then encourage by sharing what God has done in our life through those struggles. We each have our personal growth, but as a team and a family, it is necessary that we grow together, unified in our joy and our struggles.
Lately, some of the students have talked about how God is placing in them a desire to persevere through hardship, and how the trials we find ourselves in are an opportunity to worship despite the difficulties, the exhaustion, and the body aches. Another student spoke about the hope that comes from God’s hand working in
their life, that the character that God is forming in them will be more than worth the difficulty of the discipline, training and refining it takes to get there. So often in my life, busyness gets the best of me and I forget to look at what God is doing, what He is trying to tell me or show me. This time of devotion, however, always helps me take the time to look at what God is doing in my life and the lives of those around me, so that I can join Him in what He is doing.

Through my time here at Masters Commission, I have come to realize the value of learning by experience. There have been countless times when I thought I knew about some aspect of ministry, but in doing it I find out that there is so much more to it than I thought, and I grow tremendously through that experience. That kind of growth through experience is the reason that one of the core values of Masters Commission is Hands-On Ministry. Being at Ground Zero Masters Commission, I have the opportunity to be involved in many diverse types of ministry, including everything from computers/networking/web design to soup kitchens/youth centers to administration/planning.
The reason we involve ourselves in so many diverse ministries is so that we can discover our God-given gifts and talents as well as the mission and calling of God on our lives. After graduating Master’s Commission, students not only know what things they like or don’t like to do, but they have real ministry experience and practical knowledge that will help them in whatever they choose to do afterward, whether it is ministry related or not. On top of all of this, these ministries provide a means through which God to teaches us about selflessness, servanthood, and sacrifice.
In serving others I have developed an attitude of putting others’ interests before my own and really pouring
myself out for other people.
Hands-on ministry experience is one of the unique elements that sets Masters Commission apart from most other ministry training programs, and makes it stand apart from Bible College. My involvement in these ministries has made a huge difference not only in my education, but also in my spiritual growth.
If you are interested in being invloved in this type of hands-on ministry training, Apply for Masters.

Through the course of Master’s Commission, we get to be involved with many different local ministries and learn about how ministries work through that experience. One of these ministries is The Parkesburg Point in Parkesburg, Pennsylvania. In my first conversation with Dwayne Walton, the Director of the Point, he told me that the urban students that make up the majority of the students at The Point deal with many issues in their lives: they have problems with authority, poverty, school, broken families, and many others. He said that his goal is to show the students that the answer to the struggles in their lives is Jesus Christ. From that point on, that has been not only his talk but his walk as well. His students hear the gospel of Christ several times per week in ways that apply directly to their lives and are challenged week in and week out to live their lives not for themselves but for Jesus Christ. At The
Point, we have had the opportunity to minister by helping students with homework, building relationships with them, talking through their struggles with them, and even sharing our personal testimonies with them, encouraging them that they can have hope in Jesus Christ regardless of their circumstances. It has been a privilege to be involved with Parkesburg in personally reaching students with the transforming power of the Gospel of Christ.

It is incredible to see how God works through every aspect around us to change our lives, as He has done recently in my life. Lately in academics we have been extensively studying the book of Galatians, which addresses the conflict between the law and grace. We got to talking about how grace is such a difficult thing to really understand; there is such depth to grace that it is very difficult to truly comprehend. I thought about this quite a bit when I went home. I got up early the next morning to pray and I told God something like this: “I know this is a dangerous prayer to pray, but if You want to teach me about Your grace, I want You to do it, so that You would bring glory to Your name.” I realized that I may not have known what I was really asking, but I trusted that if God would teach me something important, it would be more than worth the pain required to learn it.
Only a few hours later I came in for the day and our assistant director pulled me aside with a few other students and told us about something that happened the previous day. There had been some careless words spoken in such a way that they hurt some of our first year students, and I had been responsible for some of it. It was not that I had deliberately tried to hurt anyone, but it was my responsibility nonetheless.
Walking into morning worship, I sat down in the back, and the only thing I could think about was, “What did I just do?” My biggest fear at that moment was that our first year students would misunderstand my heart because of something stupid that I did. It wasn’t ten minutes before one of our first year guys saw me and asked what was going on. I told him what had happened and how upset I was about it. He prayed for me and then left. It was about that time that tears started to flow from my eyes. At that point, everything we had talked about in class became so much more than just words—God had not only forgiven me, but He brought one of our first years right over to me so that he could see my heart for what it really was, not for what my own careless actions had said about it. It became so real to me that God really does accept us not because of what we do, but because of His choice of us and His grace. The freedom that comes from this became so real in my heart.
It is amazing how faithfully God treats His children. He not only answered my prayer, but He showed such a wonderful thing as His grace to me even in my failure. It is often through the hardest and most difficult times that God forges us most intensely into the men and women that He created us to be.
“More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things and consider them but rubbish that I may gain Christ” (Phil. 3:8)

This is a continuation of the previous update concerning the academic portion of our program, in which we talked about the scripture memory and chapter analysis portion of our academics. Here we will talk about the second aspect of our academics, which is our involvement as a distance learning campus of Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary. Through Chesapeake, students earn college credits that transfer to most schools. First year students earn 36 college credits and graduate with a Diploma of Biblical studies. Second year students graduate with a Associates, and third year students graduate with a Bachelors degree in Biblical studies. Through Chesapeake Bible College and Seminary, we take classes that help us to grow in our walk with God and that also help us to reach out to others. We take Old and New Testament survey classes, classes on individual books of the Bible, and other classes including Biblical ethics, leadership, the miracles of Jesus, and many more.
If you are interested in earning college credits towards your degree while studying scripture and working in hands on ministry, apply for Masters Commission online.

Hey everyone. I just wanted to take some time to share a little bit about what we do here at Masters Commission. Our primary focus is to grow closer to God, and a large part of that for us is in our minds. That is why we spend time reading, learning and studying the word of God. Our academics are intense and designed to build upon our intellect, with the end goal of growing closer to God. In moving towards this goal, our academic program is multifaceted and has profound spiritual impact in addition to its more physical benefits.
The first aspect of our academics is our scripture memory program. First year students will memorize 130 verses of scripture, while second and third year students memorize 90 verses. Memorizing scripture is a spiritual discipline that has innumerable benefits in our lives, and I personally have benefited immensely from this aspect of Masters Commission. In addition to scripture memory, we do chapter and character analysis. For first year students this involves analyzing one chapter of the Bible every week, looking at its overall theme, finding its key points, applying it to their lives, and then writing an outline of the chapter. Second Year students analyze a character from the Bible every other week, characters like Nehemiah, Peter, Paul, and David. On the weeks in-between, they write a sermon outline based off of the life of the character that they studied the previous week. Chapter and character analysis serve as tools to help students learn how to study the scripture for themselves, and then put it into practice.

We just returned from an absolutely incredible weekend at a youth convention in Ocean City, MD. We went down Thursday morning and helped the production crew with setup of the stage and all of the audio and video equipment, in addition to helping the convention staff with the needed preparations around the building. We have worked with the audio crew in the past doing events in Ocean City, so we were able to continue to build our relationship with them and learn from them, as we worked alongside them setting up two professional sound systems. Later that night, we met with the convention staff and a group of students (CCYM) that works with them in the planning and running of the convention. A few of our students led all of us in worship, and then we talked a little about preparing ourselves for what God wanted to do over the weekend. Following this time we all gathered for mini-burgers and wings and were able to get to know the CCYM students.
Friday morning we continued to help with setup and preparation for the convention. We helped the bands load in as they arrived. Youth groups started showing up around noon for registration. Once the students arrived, we were in charge of security, making sure that the students had an enjoyable time, while maintaining order and safety for them. During the general session, some of us were helping to run video camera’s for the camera crew, others were doing stage security, and the rest of the team were doing various other things.
Saturday we continued to run security and help the video crew run cameras. After lunch, we led two workshops, one titled
Releasing the Chains,
and the other titled
Sharing Your Faith.
Each of these seminars had several hundred students in them, and it was incredible to see what God was doing in the students’ lives. At the end of the Sharing Your Faith workshop, a few of the students stood up and talked about something that God had done in their lives, and it was an incredibly powerful time of hearing about the works that God had done. Saturday night we again helped with security and cameras during the session, as well as helping with other tasks that needed to be done.
Sunday morning was the final general session, during which we helped serve communion in addition to the other jobs that we had during the general session. After the general session, we helped to tear down all audio and video equipment. Throughout the entire weekend, God’s had was evident. It was so awesome to see him move in the lives of the four thousand students that were there, as well as in our own lives. We all walked away from the weekend closer to God than we were at the beginning.
Due to a severe case of Mononucleosis, Joanna Cary, one of the first year students will be returning home. In just a few short months, we have grown so close to each other, and every member of the team feels like family, so it is hard for us to say goodbye. We have great hope, because we know that God holds the future, and we know that He has a plan and a purpose for our lives, a plan that will always result in good for those of us who love Him and are called according to His purpose. We are praying for and believing in a healing, and we are seeking first and foremost that Joanna will walk in the anointing that God has placed on her life. We hope that her healing will come soon!
On Saturday, Joanna led a devotion based off of a song (In Better Hands by Natalie Grant) that has been speaking to her. During that devotion she said, “One of the lines in the song is, ‘It’s hard to stand on shifting sand,’ and at some point in time, if not most times, we’re going to have shifting sand. Sometimes we’re not going to understand why the sand is shifting, or why things are changing, but I know that my shifting sand will settle when and where God wants it to settle. We just need to believe that God’s gonna place us where He wants us in His timing, and not try to figure out His timing or why it is the way it is.” Quoting another line of the song, she said, “’There’s no doubt that I’m in better hands now.’ I don’t understand, and I know that nobody else understands either, but in His hands it’s always better.” Referencing
Jeremiah 18:3-6, she closed by saying, “I am the clay that He is shaping into what He wants me to be, we are all going to be shaped, and in the end its going to be perfectly how God wants us, we’re going to be intricate and special, and it’s going to be His hands that shape us. I know with me, even though I’m leaving, that God is still going to shape me. He’s going to mold me into what he wants me to be. He’s going to take this situation and He’s going to turn it out for something good.”

GZMC will be performing dramas, human videos, skits, sharing testimonies and more. The “marketplace” will be open with gift baskets from stores in our area, local merchants, and handmade gifts to purchase. During the course of the evening, you will hear more about our upcoming mission trip and have an opportunity to partner with us prayerfully and financially. All adults are welcome to attend. Childcare will not be provided.

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share a little bit of what God has done in my life through Masters Commission.
It has been a struggle here, everyday is a new day. I have to die to myself in so many areas every morning. I have to lay down my pride and my independence every single morning at the cross. If I don't, I have an even harder time here. I know with all my being that this is where God wants me, there is no doubt about that, so I will give all my everything for that. Also, giving God the glory for everything does not come so easily for me. That goes along with my independence issue, I think I can handle everything on my own, but I really can't. I understand the concept, but putting action to it is the hard part; I struggle with it daily.
I have grown so much in a lot of different areas since I have been here. God has been showing me that we have not been called to be lone Christians in this world. We need each other, we need to tell each other how we are feeling and our emotions. Now that I am in that mindset, I am in the process of putting that to action as well. I have to open up my heart to the people around me, which if you really know me you know that is so hard for me, but through Christ I can do anything! Never say you can't because that is a lie, and then you just sinned; you have the power to move mountains, you can do anything. Just believe, speak those things that you doubt you can do into existence, in Jesus name. Then be like Nike and, “just do it.”
I am also learning how to have a servants heart. When I first came to Ground Zero Master's Commission, I just pretended that I wanted to do stuff for people, it was just what we were expected to do, to serve people. I understand that that is Christ-like but to actually do it, because you want to like put your heart into it, is so much more than that. It is a service of worship to God. I have learned how to give and serve with all my heart, sometimes I still feel really lazy but I do it, not only for the other person, but for God who has given me the opportunity to serve. He has given me the body to be able to and the desire to. That's where I have to die to myself and give Him the glory and praise for everything. Start with just opening doors for people and taking the trash that someone else is done with even if you’re both sitting there. It's amazing the love that comes from that. Out of doing something so small comes the joy of loving, and showing a form of love and service to that person and to God you get when you do.
Remember to pray to God for every little thing that you can think of. He helps us in the small things as well as the big things. Not only the tangible things but the emotional and the inside things as well. He will mold you into someone amazing if you just quit trying to do everything yourself and give your life over to Him, be broken before Him. God can do so much more if you just let Him break you first. Let Him tear down those walls you have built and work inside you. That will hurt but in the end it will be so incredible. Little by little I am starting to see that, and allow God to do that. From the inside out, I am allowing Him break me of the independence, pride, selfishness, and not giving Him the glory in every situation. Yes it hurts but it will be so great to see the outcome.
Praise God in all that you do, realize that everything you do is an act of worship and nothing is impossible!
I also hope that all this made sense, there is quite a lot of my heart in this. A lot of my embarrassing moments here. A lot of my ugliness that God is starting to make beautiful inside of me. Once you give your heart to God you can't take it back even in the tough times.

Last night, we had a Masters Commission New Year’s eve party to celebrate the coming of a new year. We had a DDR tournament
(won by Kris Carlson), played video games, board games, ate food, and did lots of other fun stuff. It was a great time to
just hang out together as a family and have fun. We love when we have the opportunity to spend downtime together, just laughing, eating, and having fun.
After spending just a few short months with each other, it is hard to remember a
time when we didn't know each other, yet during these times, we come even closer
together, and get to know each other just a little bit more.
After watching the ball drop, we opened the new year with prayer, thanking God for last year and everything he did, as well as thanking him for everything that we know he is going to do in this year. We are so excited for this year and what God is going to do. We know that we serve a great God and are expecting
to see a reflection of His greatness in this year.

Well, Christine hinted at what God was doing last week, but the true magnitude was reveiled Thursday night and Friday at the last two Christmas parties.
Ground Zero Masters Commission ministered to 478 students during the course of the three nights including over 100 students who had never come to
a youth service here before. We saw well over half of the Jr. High students come to the alter on Thursday night for prayer to either accept Christ
for the first time, or to rededicate their lives and make a new commitment to live for Him. It was an awesome time of ministry where students
realized that God has created them for a purpose, that their life has meaning, and that they are loved. We saw a equally amazing response on Friday as well.
Thank you for your prayers over this amazing outreach. Teenagers were reached and lives were changed.

This week has been incredible so far, and I am ecstatic because there is still so much to come. Tuesday we went to the FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) meeting at our local high school where we had the opportunity to do stomp and a few skits and human videos, as well as spend time connecting with the students in our area, many of whom we know. It was awesome to see many of the students respond to a challenge to give control of their lives completely over to God.
Last night was the first of our three Ground Zero Christmas parties, and it was absolutely phenomenal. Over 130 students came out for fun, games, giveaways, and an incredible message about the greatest gift of all time, Jesus Christ. All night, there was an excitement in the air in anticipation of what God was doing, and that was confirmed when over 50 students came to the altar to give their lives to God, some for the first time, and some renewing a commitment they had made in the past.
We are looking forward to all the amazing things God is going to do tonight and tomorrow during the Christmas parties. We know our God is awesome, and we are expecting Him to do awesome things.

Last week was absolutely incredible. We spent three days in Chesapeake, VA at Faith Alive Ministries for a teen revival. It was so awesome to be a part of what God was doing there. Everyone there was hungry, they wanted more of God, and they were ready and willing to pay the price. Wednesday night many people came to the altar to give their life to Christ, whether for the first time or in as a recommitment of their life. On Thursday night the service focused on surrender, and many people responded by writing on a white flag the things in their life that they needed to surrender to God. Not a single person was exempt from the power of God as He spoke to every one of us and laid on our hearts the things we need to surrender to Him. On Friday night the message was focused on being one after God’s heart, being a man or a woman of integrity, sacrifice, repentance, and courage. At the end of the service, Pastor Mike anointed the students and then we prayed for them individually, that God would empower them to move forward as the man or woman that God had called them to be. At the end of the week, everyone involved had been touched by God. It was such a blessing to be a part of what God was doing all week, His presence and anointing was evident the entire time.
Coming up this week we have our GZ Christmas parties. This is our youth ministry’s biggest outreach of the year, as we have hundreds of students involved. We give away tons of cool prizes like video game systems, gift cards, and more. We are so excited about the opportunities that God is going to give us through these parties.

So its been a little over two month now that I've been at Ground Zero Master's Commission, and I have to say its been quite an adventure. I have learned many things throughout my walk thus far. I've had the opportunity to serve so many different people and see Christ's love work in other people's lives. It is so amazing how you can find Christ's true awesomeness in all the little things of life. Too often we look at the big things; overlooking all of the little things with the up most detail. God truly is wonderful with his "paintbrush". One of the coolest things I had the privilege to be a part of was Project R.A.K.E. (Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere). RAKE is a free home repair program for low income families; I was on a crew that was repairing a roof and replacing a gutter. Through our "project" you could look out and see Christ's love just pouring out of the others on my team... with every pound of the hammer, every cut of the saw, and even to the sweeping of the roof. To see teenagers come out and work so hard to help others; really got to me. It was such an overwhelming feeling!! Last month, the GZMC team headed to Delaware to rake leaves through out the community of Newark. Paired up with teams of adult leaders and teens, we headed into the neighborhoods of Newark, armed with rakes, trash bags and the love of Jesus Christ. This event was also an overwhelming experience! After the raking was finished, we all had dinner together and then GZMC led a youth rally for the teens! This was my first time really seeing a GZMC rally... WOW! God moved! God moved all day and the rally was the perfect finisher for the day!!
My spiritual journey has been quite a trip as well. God has really been breaking some chains and tearing down walls in my life. These past weeks have been the hardest of my life.... but also the most rewarding. I know that God has a huge purpose for me and before I get anywhere close to that he has to mold me and shape me. I am in the process of totally surrendering myself to Him. There are a few things I am still struggling with, a few things that He is still helping me battle.... but I know that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength! I cannot wait to see where God takes me spiritually throughout my time here at Master's.
I thank all of you that have kept and continue to keep me in your prayers! It's going to be a long, hard road. But, it's a road that God has for me, and I know that he's taking me to the places I need to be; making me the man I'm supposed to be. Thank you for your support and love!

We spent this past weekend in Beckley, WV, helping with the Appalachian district Youth Convention, this is the home district for one of our first year students, Tom Sleigh. It was an incredible weekend of intense worship, great teaching, and lots of fun. God has provided us with an awesome relationship with Pastor Chet, the Appalachian district youth director. It was a blessing to be able to serve him and spend a weekend with the incredible students in his district. We were able to help with set-up, do stomp and a couple of dramas on stage, help with security and other things, but the best part was the time spent with students, some of whom we knew from past events with the Appalachian district. It was good to see some familiar faces as well as meet new people. We had an incredible time sharing in what God was doing this weekend.

ProjectRAKE was absolutely incredible. We worked with over 60 youth and 50 adults to reach out into our local community and help nearly 20 elderly and low-income families.
People like Louise Crawford who suffers from arthritis in her legs, particularly her knees. She has undergone knee surgery and also suffers from a torn ligament in one of
her legs. We did some repair work on the ramp in front of her house, replaced the floor in her bathroom and bedroom, and did some minor plumbing work. It was such a
blessing to be able to meet her, she was so optimistic, and she always had a smile on her face. She is just one example of the many people we had the opportunity
to help over the weekend. We were able to connect with them on a personal level and share the love of Christ with them in a real and tangible way, whether that was
through replacing a rotten floor in their house or something as simple as a smile. It was such a blessing to be a part of what God is doing.

Last weekend was awesome! God provided incredible opportunities for us to minister to people. The team in Illinois was able to assist in ministering to thousands of students both by helping with the behind the scenes aspects, and meeting with students individually. The team at the PKMK retreat was able to spend time with the children of pastors and missionaries, encouraging them to grow in their faith. We were also able to help with the Singles conference at our home church. We helped with set-up/tear-down and were also able to hang out with some students during the seminar.
This weekend we are looking forward to Project RAKE. We will be working with students from Ground Zero, doing home repair for needy families in our area. We can’t wait to see what God is going to do.
If you are a pastor with teens who could benefit from a local mission trip, consider partnering with Project: R.A.K.E. They make things extremely simple and free you and your volunteers up to completely focus on building relationships with your teens through the course of the week. The focus is NOT on the work, but rather on the relationships between you and your students, the relationships between the students and the homeowners, and the worship between all of us and Jesus Christ, Lord of heaven and earth. Last week we spent two days in Washington DC at the East Coast Masters Commission Conference. It was an amazing couple of days spent worshiping God with other Masters Commissions from the east coast. We also had the opportunity to tour some of the monuments in DC as well as gather in front of the White House and pray for those God has and will put in leadership over our country. Over the weekend a team went to Dover Delaware and had the opportunity to lead seminars at a youth leaders conference. God is truly doing some amazing things.

It is so hard to believe that we are only one week into masters. The team has already bonded in an amazing way. We have been spending a lot of time seeking God’s face and preparing ourselves for everything that he has for us this year. We have also begun academics, drama practice, and we took the Ground Zero Youth students to a rally in Maryland on Fri. It is amazing to see what God has already done, and we are only a week in! We are expecting great things to come and cannot wait to see what God is going to do. The anointing is so evident on this team, and we are ready to walk into everything that God has for us.
Please pray for the team that we would continue to seek God and focus wholly on Him.
Know that Ground Zero Master's Commission is an incredible experience, and THE Masters Program for Youth Ministry. It is unlike anything else you've seen before.
Ground Zero Master's Commission may be the HARDEST thing our students will ever do, but if they surrender their 'whole self' to Jesus, the rewards will overwhelm them and those around them.
Our program is designed to shove them out of your comfort zone and thrust them towards the feet of Jesus.
They have decided that they are ready for that. If you are thinking about joining Masters Commission, then YOU have to decide whether YOU are ready for that. I encourage you to take the leap.

Perhaps you're sitting at home reading our updates and thinking about your own life, or the life of a teenager that you know.
Maybe you are seeking God's plan for your life, asking what is "His purpose for my life", "His will for my life"... maybe you are looking for the answer to that age old question, "what is the meaning of life?"
We beleive that Ground Zero Masters Commission can help with that search.
The academics, the scripture memory, the tour practices and the touring season will press our students.
The weekly schedule will leave little time for indiscretion.
God's course altering results in their lives, and in the lives of those we minister to, will leave them breathless.

We are pleased to announce that someone has donated the use of a 200 year old farm house for our use to house some of this years students.
It needs some work done to it, but it is such a blessing to us to be able to house some of the students together.
We start in just two short weeks, and are so excited about what this year has in store for us.
Please pray for our incoming first year students. Pray that God would prepare them and their families for this transition period as they move away from home.
We've seen a number of young adults head off to college with no direction for their lives.
They often change their majors several times, and graduate with a degree in a field
in which they have little or no interest (if they graduate at all).
Ground Zero Masters Commission is a different type of Christian College program.
We're not like any Christian College you've ever visited before and we're not a correspondence school.
We are a hands on discipleship school. In the same way that Jesus spent three years, day in and day out,
mentoring His disciples, our staff is committed to walking with you through your search for meaning, direction, purpose, and of course, your education.
Pray that our students experience that, as they embark on this journey called Masters Commission.

The summer is starting to wind down, and we are gearing up for the 08/09 year of Master’s Commission. We have been busy with MC applicants, booking, and preparing for the year.
Our returning students and alumni have been busy as well! This summer, some MC students interned with us, others went to Haiti on a Mission Trip. Some worked at Christian camps or found jobs at home to raise money for their tuition. Some of our alumni have been pursing youth pastor positions or moving into new jobs in full-time ministry. It is exciting to see everyone staying involved and doing amazing things for God’s kingdom!
Please pray for our incoming first year students. Pray that God would prepare and guide them over the next few weeks as they get ready to move to Pennsylvania!
Some of our students have no clue what they want to do with their life.
Maybe you are in the same boat... everyone is pushing you to do college... but you aren't sure
what you want to do. Maybe you think you want to do Bible college or youth ministry work, but you don't want to be a seminary student.
Don't waste $20,000 a year to attend a Christian university while you search for what God has called you to do with your life
when you can invest just about $5,000 to get 36 transferable accredited college credits. You'll be given an hour each day
to seek God's will for your life, and rack up some incredible hands on ministry and real world life experience while you are at it.
We are accepting up to 60 students for the 2009/2010 academic year. We would love to help you discover your purpose and find meaning in this world.
Don't wander aimlessly for 4 years at a traditional institution. Come to Ground Zero MC, find your destiny, God's purpose,
God's plan, God's will for your life, and have the opportunity to earn your B.A. in 3 years if you continue with Masters' Commission beyond the first year.
Please pray for our incoming class, but I also encourage you to call our office at 610-869-7332 and find out how we can help you find God's purpose for your life.
